Hi my name is Nicole and I am a mommy to three wonderful boys ages 1, 2 and 5. I am new here and can't wait to get to know you all and here about how you all homeschool. As a mother just getting started in homeschooling I would love any tips on how you all plan your days and how you find time to exercise.

Welcome everyone!! Love meeting new moms and dad's too, Chris!
I'm in Kansas and homeschooling my 12 yr old. I have two other older kids who are 23 and 21 but they were public school. Love homeschooling my 3rd. Wish God had introduced this to me with the other two. I love it! I also have two twin granddaughters who are two. LOL! that's alot of TWO"S! I have also run an in home daycare in my home for 23+ yrs. I'm pretty eclectic in my curriculum using Math U See, Mystery of History, Apologia Science and this year will be a new adventure for us with SOS Language arts. We just make up and find new go along adventures to go with each of these and on the side. Love not having a schedule but just going going going where ever life may take us daily. This year we are looking forward to adding more cooking to our curriculum as well as more woodworking.

hi all. i am new to spark and the team. my name is nichole and i am currently homeschooling 4 kids ages 6, 5, 3, & 11. we do a kind of unschooling styled, year round homeschool. We study 6 wks on 1 week off with season breaks throughout the year....mainly around holidays, summer, fam vacations, and any other thing we want to do! ;) Although we learn all things needed for State tests and then some. I simply let kids decide what they want to learn, when and how. We love hands on activities such as our garden and experiments. I enjoy it since i am a spontanious type that goes with the flow. So without any really set curriculum we can watch youtube vids all day, animal planet or visit the planetarium anyday.
Hope i can make some friends, share some tips and learn some new things from everyone.
I do not get to post as often as I like and just saw your post hun.
We mostly chat the top forums and miss these sometimes.
We do consider all homeschooling, home schooling as well and are glad to have yas.

Hello all, my name is Melvina, but everyone calls me MamaBear. I am a mother of 6, step mother to 1 and am married to a terrific guy named Anthony. I am currently home educating 3 of my 6 children and beginning next year I will be home educating them all. (my step-daughter lives with her mother, not us) We teach through a virtual school (well all but the 2 yo) called Ohio Connections Academy. My 2 yo we use letter a week and other preschool resources for him. While some do not consider this traditional homeschooling, we feel that since we are educating from home, and not brick and mortar, we are homeschooling. Want to know more feel free to ask! :)
For every triumph there is a failure. What makes a triumph a triumph, is the drive to keep at it after the failure.
