Angela, I live in Montreal, Quebec in Canada so I know the cold! I read on your page that you moved there for the snow! UGH! girl! I hate winter! I am a summer girl through & through but sounds awesome when you describe the mountains! I have certainly heard of Queenstown! You have the best of two worlds! Happy you joined the challenge sweetie! We are gonna lose some weight!! emoticon

Hey, Michelar, thanks for the message about the challenge - I am definately up for this one!!! You asked how cold it gets here - let's just say the other night it was -8 (bbbrrrrrrrr!!!!!), so it can be a little arctic at times. At the other end of the scale in summer it gets to 35 degrees (which I guess is equivalent to maybe around 100 over there) so we have a pretty comprehensive wardrobe to cope with these huge fluctuations in temperature. But I love it and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Where I live is 350 metres above sea level and we are surrounded by some of the most stunning mountains, with ski fields (2 to choose from here in Wanaka) just 1/2 hour drive away. Have you heard of Queenstown?? We are just an hour away from there!! Well great to hear from you and no doubt we'll touch base over the challenge you have put to us!!!! Angela emoticon emoticon

Hi there, nice to meet you too!! I checked out your Sparkpage - congratulations on your weight loss. That is really fantastic!!! Yes, NZ is a pretty awesome place to live. We are lucky that we have such diversity of landscapes here and everything is pretty much within a 1 day drive, unless you want to go from North to South Island in which case you are looking at about 2 days of travel. I am thankful to have been born here, and to offer my kids the opportunities we have available. They are all picking up skiing at the moment which is great to watch and such a huge achievement for them. Anyway, great to hear from you. Keep up the great work!!

I've been using this site for 7-8 weeks now. I never realised there was a scuba diving team until I was checking out someones page, so I thought I'd say "Gidday" from Down Under!! Not doing any dives right now as it's the middle of winter and we are getting plenty of snow. Hoping to do my PADI Advanced Open Water ticket in the summer. Would love to do some diving overseas - have only dived in New Zealand, but it's still pretty good!!! Would love to go to Bermuda - looks amazing.
