Hi everyone! My name is Tori. Today was my one week weigh in. I am super excited because I lost 7lbs this week! I know that is because it is just the beginning but I am very pleased. I even slipped up a little on Saturday night...eek. I was so nervous I thought I had blown any progress I had made. NOT TRUE! The first week and I am already learning. I have about 120 lbs to lose and I am seeing that it is not the one bad choice that will ruin everything but the many small good choices to stick to the plan that will help bring me success.

Also my tracker is wrong. My weight had gone up ALOT so I was at 255lbs when I started Nutrisystem and today I weighed in at 248. Woohoo! It is going in the right direction :)

Hi I'm Cherye. I heard about Nutisystem from my boss who loved the program. I just started this new job that is less stressful and needs less of my time than my last job. At my last job I had no time to eat at all and was always in a rush. It was also physically demanding so I had eaten a lot at night during supper. I lost a good deal of weight and built muscle, but in the end the stress was too much and my body is wrecked - my joints hurt a lot and now my metabolism is getting slower.

Now that I have time to actually eat a breakfast, lunch and dinner, I need to find things that 1. I like and 2. are actually good portions. It's hard starting all over again with the changes in food and diet.

are there any suggestions y'all can make? I want to start the Core 28 day plan (I'm picky about food and allergic to some foods so I want a choice). I was actually going to start with the 5 day starter kit that is sold at Wal-Mart.

Work hard, that's the key to achievement.

Hi everyone! I'm Sarah, and I just signed up for the NS Basic plan. I had my first child in February of 2013 and being a new mommy has definitely blown my weight out of control. I'm waiting for my first shipment to arrive and I can't wait to get started! I've been reading lots of amazing success stories of people who have had great results when they stick to the program. I am currently about 250 lbs and looking to lose 100 or more (or stopping when my husband and I decide to have our next baby!) I haven't been less than 165 lbs since high school... I am counting on NS to help me get there! :)

Hi everyone! My name is Skyla, and I will be starting Nutrisystem on the 25th of September. I am eighteen, and a senior in high school. I've never really been "thin". So, since I will be going to college next fall, I decided that this will be a perfect time for me to start my goal! Thin before college! My current weight is 220lbs. I'm reaching for a goal of 150-160, or less if I decide.

I look forward to chatting with all of you, and asking you guys all of my questions! :) So very excited to be a member of this team. emoticon

I'm also a teacher. I love doing this program during the school year, especially the end and the beginning which are so very busy. I simply need to be sure my husband and daughter have something ready or nearly ready for dinner and mine is always ready. I buy lots bags of frozen veggies, fix chicken or something inn a big batch on Sunday, maybe have hubs grill some chicken on Sunday and we're all ready to roll. If you don't want anyone to know you're on NS you can always put your lunches in other containers. The dry cups are always put in other containers for me to take to lunch after I've added the boiling water. I put the veggies in the container frozen, add seasonings of I want, add the lunch Powerfuel, then add the lunch meal from the cup after it's softened for 15-20 minutes. No one knows it's NS unless I tell them.

I highly recommend the program.

Good afternoon everyone! My name is Kat and I am thinking about starting Nutrisystem and am looking for opinions from those of you who are doing it. I know a few people who have used it with success and it definitely sounds better than drinking shakes all day long.

A little about me- I am a 40 year old wife and mother. We have two teenagers with our oldest having just started his senior year of high school. I am a teacher and recently started working full after having worked part time for 13 years. I am working at a new school and am also a college student working towards my Master's degree in early childhood special education. I have belonged to Spark People for about 4 years and, at one time, lost 75 pounds. Unfortunately I gained it all back and am hanging around 250 pounds. I hate it but am so tired by the end of the day, I barely have the energy to cook and clean when I get home. I feel like a change in my diet and relearning how to eat is the best starting point right now.

Anyway, sorry for the ramble. I look forward to getting to know you all and (hopefully) losing weight along with you.
Take care!

Hello. I joined this this team before but left because I never even started Nutrisystem. I thought I would re-introduce myself now that I am actually starting the program.

My name is Michele. I've been on SP forever now. My weight has been a huge roller coaster (HW: 360, LW: 270, CW: 355). Where I live it is hard to eat healthy due to limited fruits/vegetables (there is no road so everything must be flown in). I was going to try Nutrisystem last year but didn't think I could afford it. After spending almost $1000 a month over the last year I've realized that NS was extremely affordable, plus it is much better for me.

I tried a 5 Day sample pack while in the city for the summer (I'm a teacher so I live elsewhere in the summer) and really enjoyed the foods. I had tried a few back in 2005 and didn't care for it so I didn't think I would love it as much as I did this time.

Anyway my next pay is September 5th and I look forward to ordering soon after that!

WELCOME! You will find the NS plan very convenient. I know I have. I love bringing my lunches to work on Monday and not having to worry about what I'm going to cook for dinner when I get home. Best of success Debbie and husband.

Hi...I'm Debbie (if you didn't guess it LOL!). My husband and I start nutrisystem in the morning. He is diabetic and needed a meal plan. He's only 185 at 6-foot. I'm 210ish at 5'2" and am on their senior plan (52 yrs old). - I work a lot. 59 hrs this week and most weeks. I don't have time to prepare food so we usually eat out, which is how I got fat over the last 10 yrs. So I am hoping this plan works for us.

I'll post daily or every other day. Add when I can. Thanks Amy for the Spark Goodie and welcome.

I loved my Spanish teacher in high school! I still remember some of the dialogos we learned. Favorite phrase from one:

Yo soy de chile. Necisito estudiar ingles.

No clue why that phrase was supposed to be helpful to US high school students!

Francesca, I didn't know you we're a teacher, too. What do you teach? I teach 2nd grade.

I am SOOOO ready for a routine again! I went to my classroom yesterday to clean out the closet by my desk and ended up arranging student desks and the rest of my room. I'll go back later in the week.

Thanks WORKINPROGRESS and welcome Kendra! I injured my back last week so the exercise is out. I'm trying to stay on program from my sofa with the heating pad. It is hard to stay on track when you can't move I am finding out.

Hi Everyone. I just joined SP today along with this group. I've done NS a few times throughout my life. It's a successful way to diet for me if I can just stick to it. I do the best for breakfast and lunch but dinner and weekends are my downfalls. I'm hoping being in a group will give me the support and accountability I need to success.

Edited to Add: BTW, my name is Kendra. I am 28, mother of 2 boys from Texas :)

Hi, I am restarting NS tomorrow using the Dinners On Your Own Plan. Think I will like this much better and it's cheaper.
Hope that everyone is dong well on the plan. Looking forward to being on this team.

My hubby and I just joined together. We started last Wednesday. So far so good. I can't wait to weigh in Wednesday and see how we did! It hasn't been too bad this first week. I have been hungry in the afternoons as I adjust. but I know I will adjust and we will be in business!

I agree that sticking with the program AS WRITTEN is key. I did not flex any meals on my own for many months when I started, since I knew I wasn't able to lose weight by doing what I wanted. I figured I paid for the program, why not use it? For me, at 100+ pounds to lose, I avoided flexing and doing any meals on my own until I got to abut 195. That's from 278, so it was over a year.

You'll need to find what works for you.

Veggies are your friend! I did not and do not now limit the unlimited veggies at all!

The NS site has a forum that is more active. If you check it out, I'm emilycan there. Feel free to friend me! That's for everyone else, too!

emoticon I ordered my NS yesterday. I have been thinking about retrying NS for about 3 months. I noticed on my insurance plan that they offer a $30.00 discount for NS orders, so I ordered the Core Plan. I am 52 and I am having a really hard time losing any weight. I really hope that this plan can help to jump start my weight loss. I tried NS 4 years ago, but I did not stick with it. Does anyone have any tips for me? If so, please let me know. Spark On! emoticon

I have just finished 3 days on NS and so far I am feeling quite good about it. Yesterday I got sick shortly before lunch and was not able to eat much of anything until after dinner when I decided to eat a bag of NS popcorn since it seemed like a fairly bland choice for a squeamish tummy. I got back on board this morning and at a NS breakfast and lunch and then made dinner from scratch with whole wheat penne pasta which I carefully measured out, and a fat free spaghetti sauce and meatballs made from a Biggest Loser recipe. I have lots of fresh vegetables right now so today had cucumbers, tomatos and squash from the garden. I have been adding up the calories as I go along and my total for the day was about 1250 which is just about right. Tomorrow I will eat totally NS since my DH will be gone and I won't have to worry about cooking for him.

After I sent the message about milk and cereal I saw on the container that I was to add 1/2 cup milk. I didn't get the shakes with my order but I did find some at Walmart called EAS AdvantEdge which has 110 calories and 17 grams of protein. I have a protein drink mix from Curves but it needs to have milk added to it which puts the calories a bit high.
I have been reading through the boards and blogs at the NS site to try to find more information and it has been helpful.
I printed out the grocery lists from the NS site and will keep it handy so I can make good choices. It looks to me like NS recommends protein (power fuels) early in the day and Smart Carbs later on. The portion size is what I really need to be reminded about since I have been eating much larger servings. Adding vegetables does help fill me up though.
My garden is still producing and corn is at the end of production right now. I had that as a smart carb last night with Parkay spray which I think should be fine. It won't last much longer and one ear was plenty for me. I had it with Tortilla Soup. I think it would have been good cut off the cob and mixed into the soup. Maybe next time.

Milk is a Powerfuel so you can use 1 cup as a PF. I'll look for the exact stats on PFs and SCs (smartcarbs) but off the top of my head they are both 80-120 cal. There is a fat and protein requirement on PF and a fiber requirement on SC but off the top of my head I don't know it this early!

The cereal would be a sub for the NS breakfast with 1/2 c of milk coming with it and not being counted your PF. As for the shake, if you didn't get those add another PF.

I would eat my NS breakfast mid morning and have my PF before work. I would have 1/2 c eggbeaters with 1/3 c Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage Crumbles. If I had time I'd toss in some veggies. YUM!

I am not sure where to find the flex guide. I was looking over the foods I got and thought I could easily replace many of them and very likely be able to make many from scratch and put them in my freezer. I didn't order any frozen foods but I am thinking that once I get the portion size in my mind I could do that too. I made a really good vegetable lasagna last week which I think would freeze well and I think would easily adapt to NS.
My first question--the guide says to choose one breakfast entree plus a power food or protein drink. I do have a protein drink (not NS) but if I choose that and a bowl of cereal, can I still put milk on the cereal or do I have to eat it like popcorn? emoticon

There is a flex guide for using your own foods. It's based on the Powerfuel and Smartcarb categories NS uses. It's a great guideline. I use it and go months between my shipments since I've been at this for so long. I recommend using their guide since it will make sure you get enough protein to keep you satisfied.

If I can do this, anyone can!

I wasn't expecting my NS to come until Friday but it arrived this afternoon. I have been reading the meal planner and I am a little confused but I will take it one day at a time and see how I do. I bought mine from QVC, the six week weekend off plan so I have 30 days of NS food on hand. I am hoping I can stretch it out a bit by duplicating some of the NS foods since cost is a factor.

I just ordered the NS 6 weeks/weekends off from QVC. I have done NS twice in the past, the first time we went to the NS store and chose our menus. I had to drive 80 miles each way to get it. Then they went bankrupt and out of business so I had to stop. The second time I ordered on line and bought a few items on eBay.
I think I lost about 15 to 18 pounds each time which is about what I need to lose now.

Hi everyone,
My name is Gwen, I received my 1st NS shipment yesterday. This is not my first time on NS, but this plan is new. I am impressed of how organized it is now. When I started NS a few years ago I went from 188 to 165...then I stopped following the plan as written. I have stopped/started so many other weight loss plans. This time around I am going to go all the way and learn how to maintain my weight. This is not going to be a quick fix for me, no matter how long it takes I want to have a normal BMI (that's my goal)
Looking forward to posting here......Best Wishes to everyone!!!!

Danielle, I tried NS as a last ditch effort when I was feeling hopeless. I weighed 278 at that point. I've weighed as much as 310 twice in my adult life . That's not counting the higher weight I had when I was pregnant with my daughter. If you follow the NS plan to the letter, including eating the added proteins and veggies and fruits you WILL lose weight.

I also didn't think it would be a long-term solution but it sure can be. They have a "days off" guide that will teach you how many proteins and carbs to eat each day. I'm still losing following those guidelines but eating my own foods.

As with ANY weight loss plan if we go back to our former ways of eating we will gain weight. If we develop and practice lifestyle changes we will not regain. It really is that simple!

If you decide to order and want to save $30 let me know and I can send you a Buddy Bucks invitation. If you want to do that just send me a message with the email address you used/will use when you order the program. Let me know if you have any questions at all!

Hello,
My name is Danielle and I have more than a 100pds to lose and I've been considering Nutrisystem for a few weeks now. I did the program once before back in the early 90's when I won a contest and got to try it for a very low price. I've been considering it again as a fresh start to get me back on track because I'm feeling discouraged and overwhelmed about my weight. I know its not a long term solution but I would like to lose at least 30pds to get my sleep apnea under control so that I can have more energy to workout and prepare my own meals again. Any comments or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! My name is Tracy and I started Nutrisystem on February 29th...Today was my official weigh in day and I've lost exactly 15lbs! I am loving it...I desperately needed to track my food and this was the perfect answer. I have the Nutrisystem app on my IPod and it's GREAT! Just a quick update. Today is Day 2 on NS and so far, so good. I just started a fitness challenge as well, so between the two, I'm hoping the weight starts to fall off. Not expecting miracles, but hoping this won't take forever to achieve. Some days 30lbs. seems like a lot, other days, it doesn't seem like all that much. Either way, I know the health benefits of dropping these extra pounds will be substantial. Best wishes to everyone who is just starting out and thanks for the support I've received so far.

Hello all! My name is Laura and I am starting Nutrisystem on Tuesday! I ordered my food and have it all here and ready to go. I decided to start on Tuesday because I am starting a new job on Monday and I don't know what things I have access to, such as a microwave, fridge, freezer, ect. I plan on starting my job Monday and checking out the scene to see what food will be best for me to take to work. I am a nurse and have been working at a nursing home but I recently was hired at one of the local hospitals. I gained 40 lbs in the course of dating my boyfriend (who can eat anything) and nursing school. I am ready to lose some of that weight and gain my confidence back! I lost just shy of 20lbs on my own but cant seem to lose any more. SO, with that said, I have enlisted the help of NS to lose the rest.

Hello!
I will be ordering NS end of next week. Right now, as you probably all know there is 40% off, and it stays that way as long as one is on the program.
I'm looking forward to using NS for I need more structure with my day to day eating plan. I feel it will be a great way to springboard into eating correctly, and hopefully it will also help me to stick with a permanent way to go with losing and keeping off weight. I am hoping I will be able to go off it once I get to the right mindset, however long that takes is fine..
Thank you for this team, so glad to have found it!
Will keep you posted on how I do.
Linda

Hi everyone, I'm Stephanie. I'm 22 and work as a substitute elementary and middle school teacher. I ordered Nutrisystem Success through an offer on QVC, and hope it will help me get my eating under control and lose the last 20-25 lbs I've been struggling with this past year. After just one day and today's breakfast, I've already lost the 2lbs I gained over the weekend by eating poorly. I'm doing a one month trial because of the cost, but I hope I can learn the tools to do this on my own after this month.

Hi I am Terri. I am 52 with a wonderful, supportive husband and 3 great kids. Bruce, Brittany, Brandon and Bradley. I have a dog, Heinz, and a cat, Bosco. I am from Ohio but lived in Fl. and now Northern Alabama.

I am a Weight Watcher normally. I have been successful on that for years but now that I am older it is getting harder. I have always wondered what NUTRISYSTEM was like. I am excited. I have been on it one week and I lost 6 pounds. I had lost 5 lbs. the week before (water weight from Christmas). So I think some was fat loss and not all water this week.
Can't wait to meet y'all.

Hi, I'm Linda. I'm 53 and in Court Reporting School since they don't need too many Contracts Administratory in construction anymore. I just received my NS food today and will start tomorrow. I lost thirty pounds five years ago, but had to quit because of the cost. I am finding the program more complicated than I remember, but it should become habit in no time.

I am really excited to be back on the program and to join this team. It will be a great new year!!

I am 36 years old and I have been on NS a couple of times. The first time was when I was 15 my mother used to drive me to the centers so I could weigh in, pick my food, have a consultation with the dietitian, then a weekly meeting. I lost 80 plus pounds. In my 20s I tried it again. I tried it earlier this year, Jan till about May and only lost 10lbs. I am now on it again, about a month into it and the scale has not budged.

I have degenerative disk disease and with my weight being at its all time high, I am having problems moving, so exercise is far and few between but I try to get something done when I can. I will be seeing a doc in a few weeks to rule out any medical problems.

I have been on NS since August 2010. I got bored with the program - or so I told myself - early 2011. I stopped following it, gained 18 of the 30 I had lost. In July, July 10, 2011 to be exact, I had a heart to heart with myself. Well, DH was there, too! I was talking about Medifast, Atkins, a lot of other programs. Finally, DH looked at me and said, "I never saw you lose like you did when you were on NS. I was sad when you quit." He then went on to tell me how I deserved to lose this weight I've had my entire life and he thought I should go back to NS but this time not add wine to the day, not deviate from their plan. So, on July 11 I started following the plan 100%, exactly as written. I have lost 66 pounds with NS, 54 of those are since July 11, 2011. I plan to continue the program until I reach my goal. Then I will continue to use the tools on their site and here on Spark to maintain my loss.

Howdy ya'll... I just joined this team today, so I thought I'd share a little about myself.

I was on NS back in '07/08 and had fabulous results, losing almost 80 lbs. in less than a year. However, I had to quit d/t health problems. I continued to maintain my loss, even losing another 10 lbs. during the process.

This year, I started out the year having a partial hip replacement d/t returning to running last year. Then I let stress get the best of me & take control of my eating habits... and needless to say, here I am w/ almost 50 lbs. regained. I decided to go back to what I know works: Nutrisystem. (now I'm just waiting for my box to arrive...)

Greetings!
I have wanted to try NS for awhile now, but it wasn't in the budget. Now it is, and I am sitting here waiting impatiently for UPS to arrive with my NS order AND a cute blue mobility scooter I ordered www.spinlife.com/Pride-Travel-Pro-3-

This is better than Christmas! emoticon

I have tried WW and had success with the original program back in the 80s, was a member of TOPS and had success and a lot of fun, but the chapter no longer exists, and the ones in Reno are not convenient for me. I did my own thing last year, and between SP and MS relapses, I removed 30 lbs. I need to remove 35 more to my goal, where I will be able to wear size 10/12 again.

I am disabled, and can't do much effective cardio right now, but I also bought a recumbent exercise bike, just need to get the BIL to pick it up in his truck. If it takes awhile to remove this flab, so be it. All the more time to get into good habits.

Hi everyone,

I just joined this team and figured I'd share a bit about myself. I did nutrisystem before and had good results. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007. After the treatment I went on Tamoxifen, and everything just got out of control. I put on 50 lbs since then, and I just have to do something. Fortunately my DH has decided to be my exercise buddy, so we are holding each other accountable. I'm on day 12, and I'm down 6.5 lbs. thats including a bit of celebratry eating on Easter.

Not a starving artist!

Like you, I've been on NS about a month and I'm down 6 pounds (or at least I think that's what my scales will say tomorrow morning). It's working for me, and that's what matters right now.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Cindy. I'm 46 and have been widowed for seven years and I think it's about time that I find a great guy. I've come to the realization that I need to feel better about myself in order to move forward. I have been on Nutrisystem for about a month now and so far, have lost 6 pounds. I decided that I needed to do something to lose weight, because I wasn't able to motivate myself to do it on my own. I have been happy with Nutrisystem, it's been surprisingly easy. I'm optimistic that this is something that is going to finally work for me. emoticon

I've been checking the NutriSystem site for recipe suggestions. I figure getting creative with their foods will help me when I go back to cooking for myself. So far, I'm still liking the food in general, and I'm down 3 pounds in 10 days, and that's just fine with me.

Lou,
Welcome! I agree - the scrambled eggs were horrible - but other than that I really like the food - and LOVE the ease of just grabbing something to eat. I am always on the run - and that is so helpful. It is also teaching me portion control in a way I will remember :-)

Hello everyone,
My name is Lou; I'm 66, and I've been on Spark forever, it seems. I did fairly well for a while, but last year had a lot of personal & family challenges, and I ended up gaining back about half of what I had lost. In January I started pushing it again and lost a pound, with another pound going in February. A 12/pound per year rate isn't quite what I wanted, though, so I started NS toward the end of last month. I lost 2 pounds the first week, and that's much better!

So far, I've liked every food item well enough to reorder it, except for the scrambled eggs. They can keep them! I started with the regular Women's program, but I'm wondering about the Senior Women's program instead. Is anyone else on it? What is the difference between the two?

So far, I haven't done anything with the NS website, but I plan to check it out thoroughly one of these days.

Hi everyone,
My name is Megan - I am a mother of three almost grown children :-) That is a more cheerful way to say I have three teenagers :-( I just started NS today - I was a little scared when I saw the food come freeze-dried, but then my frozen shipment came today - much better looking. I did have the dehydrated black bean soup for lunch and to my surprise, it was quite good! A little hungry but so far so good. I am a good exerciser - my main reason for weight gain is I am too busy to cook and plan menus. I work full time and when I get home from work - I grab whatever is there or whatever the kids want - which is often pizza or fatty food. So NS looks good as everything is there and ready - all I need to do is grab it. Positive thoughts....

Hey everyone. I have been using nutrisystem for about 3 weeks now. I still haven't done my 3rd week weigh in but have so far lost 7 pounds (which I was unable to do with other diets or exercise programs). So far I love nutrisystem. It takes all the guesswork out of what to eat. I find myself chugging V8 like it's medicine to get all my vegetables in when I am too full but I am learning to not even mind that:)

M name is Susan, I am 56 years old, 5 feet tall about 80 lbs overweight and I have Rheumatoid Arthritis so losing weight is a bit more challenging. I used Nutrisystem two years ago and lost about 45 lbs in 6 months. Unfortunately I did not stick with it and have slowly regained about 35 lbs over the last year and a half. I work full time and my job is sedentary but demanding - many long days and weekends.

No matter how my diet is going I do try to exercise at least 30 minutes every day -- aquarobics and gentle yoga class about once a week at the health club and rebounder, treadmill or seated eliptical at home. If anyone else has joint problems I highly recommend the InMotion Compact Eliptical Traiiner by Stamina -- it can be used standing or seated, with or without added resistance and is available on QVC for about $100. The new model has resistance bands so you can get an upper body workout as well. Even on my worst days I can use it seated and it losens up my feet, ankles, knees, and hips. It is also very quiet and can be used while watching TV.

Basically I began again last week with one of the weekends off programs offered on QVC and lost 5 lbs even though I had commitments after work everyday last week and did not exercise as much as usual.

I love having weekends off and last time my weight lose was comparable to other Nutrisystem users in my age and size range who were on the program 7-days a week. In the 6 months I followed the program, there was never a week that I did not lose weight, which was different than the other ladies who were doing the program everyday. In the early weeks, the ladies on the 7-day a week program did lose more weight per week than I did. At 6 months we had all lost between 30 and 50 lbs.

Hi my name is Gayle and I am new to NS. I started Feb. 6 and lost 7lbs originally and gained back 2 then lost one I think (without exercising). My weigh-in day is Monday, so I better be good until Monday plus it would be my one month milestone. I never realized how much my weight fluctuated but I think I am losing inches. I really need to stop weighing myself everyday. For me, the weight comes off by the end of each week so weighing myself before then was really discouraging. I tried to cancel about 4 times and the counselors talked me out of it. They are ALL really great and around anytime! I track everything on NS under My Programs because it is easier with all the foods in the database, plus somewhere to track the water. Anyway, I am here because I need support and want to encourage others too. I've read most posts and think a lot of us started or will start soon, so keep going and don't give up.

To Shelley: I'm sorry to hear about your mom passing.

Hi everyone!
Hi there!
My name is Shelley, I'm married and have 3 grown children.
I ordered Nutrisystem yesterday, today I go to the gym for my physical assessment. Setting myself up for success!
The last 10 years have been out of my control, eating for comfort and no exercise now it's a whole new world for me and it's my turn! I had looked after my ailing mother who finally had enough and passed away. We moved to a new area of town, so it really is a whole new world.
My daughter just got engaged yesterday and I have a while to get myself in shape, they plan on the fall of 2012. :D
Look forward to reading everyone's posts!

Hi, I'm Lainey. I've tried NS before, but without the tools of SP. In the past I just got the regular Women's program, but I found myself feeling rundown from all the sugar. This time I've ordered 1 month of the Women's Diabetic program. I'm not diabetic, but my mom is hypoglycemic, so, I hope that it will be enough of a jump start for me to transition back into good SP habits.

I'm coming up on my 1 year Sparkversary on 11/12. I'm afraid I've made more emotional and spiritual progress before some of this excess is gone from me, so trying to work these two together and have a really CLEAN good solid first month back! A good way to begin my 30th year on the earth beginning 10/27!

I've been laughing my butt off all week at my earlier post. My scale must have been crooked or something because that 9 pound loss was either a scale malfunction or a figment of my imagination. I actual lost a little over 2 pounds in my first week and obviously after that fiasco was disappointed for a minute. But then I realized 2 a week is 104 in a year. So....come on week 2!

Thanks Jackie, We should definitely help each other out. I am surprised at how tasty the food is after all the things I had heard. AND...here's the kicker. I know you are only supposed to weigh yourself once a week and I have only been on NS since Thursday but I couldn't resist this morning and GUESS WHAT??? I lost 9 pounds already. I have been really good about eating everything on the menu planner and nothing else and it has paid off. I do know those numbers will not continue but what a motivator for the days ahead. Let's stay in touch because...WE WILL DO THIS!!!

Hello Sue! I just started Nutrisystem today, and so far I really like it. There is a lot more of your own foods that you eat than I had anticipated. I too, heard all the negatives, but you know what, we have to do what is best for us. I really think this will do the trick. Not too much thought goes into preparation for meals and it truly is "grab n'go". Good luck to you and I will keep a posting on how I am doing on my blogs! We can do it!!!!

Hi, I'm Sue. I will be starting Nutrisystem for the first time next week probably. I purchased 6 weeks of weekends off from QVC yesterday. I don't know how I'll do. I am a long time dieter who's tried it all except Nutrisystem which my endocrinologist suggested I try a while ago. I have just been resisting up until now. Not too long ago I lost over 90 pounds and have gained 50 of those pounds off. I can't let myself gain anymore. I mean I won't let myself gain anymore. I really like Spark People so I hope you guys can be a lot of moral support for me. My friends were discouraging me tonight saying the NS food is lousy. Tell me they're not right!

For me, sharing with others is the best support I can get. I could phone or email Nutrisystem coaches but that is not the same as making friends here on sparkpeople. If you have not introduced yourself, please do. And even if you have visited here often, we all would like to know you better.
