Hi Jennifer and welcome to you! I understand the problem of perfectionism all too well; that is a problem of mine too. I think that as long as we are moving in the right direction, we are doing well, even if it seems at times to be 'two steps forward, one back'. It sounds as if you're off to a great start!

Hello everybody! My name is Jennifer and I just started here on SparkPeople on Sunday and joined several teams and I've gotten myself off to a pretty decent start. Far from perfect, of course, but who needs perfect anyway?! I've been an all or none perfectionist type person (darn OCD!) for too long and I've finally allowed myself to just do what I can and accept any change or progress as good enough. As long as I keep at it and don't give up along the way I don't NEED perfection. Persistence will get me there :) In the past 3 days I have gotten my body moving again, got my fridge stocked with fruits and veggies, and have taken my fish oil and multivitamins. Feels good to be going proactive on the health front!!! I'm looking forward to getting to know people; to get help, info, and support; and also hopefully to be able to support others along the way :)
