My computer was down yesterday and it totally killed me not being able to log my meals and exercise routine. I'm finally back online and I really missed SP. I never realized how addicted I am to SP until I couldn't get to it, LOL. Of course work has been crazy busy, which prevented me from being able to jump on to say what's up. I've started laundry already this morning and now about to get ready for work. Have a great one sparkers.

Yeah, I'm no longer chatting with myself, emoticon You ladies are always sooo motivating and I just love your positive attitude. I guess my body did need a break from exercise, but I really need to kick it back up because I have goals for April. I will not make them if I don't get moving. Thora, I'm totally about to jump on your page to check out your new dew girl! Spring is in the air in your kneck of the woods. Kim, Are you still doing Turbo Fire? My b'day is coming up and that's surely on my wish list.

Oh, I forgot, this falls into the Chit Chat category. I got all my hair cut off yesterday. It is SHORT. Over my ears and on the back of my head. Sure made for an interesting day of comments. And yes, TWO people asked me "if I got a haircut". Check out my sparkpage if you haven't seen my hair. Wasn't really long but definately had hair over my ears yesterday!!!

I'm hoping it won't be such a pain when I run and change is always a good thing! Well, most of the time anyway... emoticon

Dedrie - That's funny about the walk! It happens though and think of all the explaining you didn't have to do that day. I've had the hardest time getting my workouts in lately. Gotta get back into the routine cause when that falls apart my ambition for everything else healthy just FLIES out the window!!! Keeping a close eye on the scale though. That's always a good motivator, and if my clothes fit!!!

Just wanted to stop by so u wld not feel like you were on here talking to yourself! emoticon

We have those times when we feel slowed down and just want to slough around and sometimes we are entitled to them and I think that it is a way your body is telling you that it needs extra rest. As long as you do something active, like walking up the stairs instead of the elevator or walking to work like you do it is fine, just not too long. emoticon

Yes, I am up bright and early to start another days of work! For some reason, I have slowed down on my morning exercise routine and I'm really not sure why. Yes I do, LOL! I just like the extra hour of sleep that I could get in the morning. Maybe I will start back on Monday and see how I feel.

Thora, to be honest with you girl, I ended up driving home from work that day. I was just too hungry and tired after a long days work. I made up for it the following day because I went out walking for over an 1 1/2 and it felt great. I could walk all day if my time allowed me too! Are you a little sad that your baby is heading onto Kindergarten? They grow up soooo fast! I just know he'll get excited after he gets settled in. My daughter cried and it was sooo hard for me, my son on the other hand ran off and just said bye. It is pretty interesting how they are totally different.

I'm off to get in a well needed workout and wishing you all a wonderful day!

Hey all! Hope you are ready for another week.

Dedrie, how did that walk home go the other night? I laughed about your hubby and his upcoming confusion over driving you back to work! Made perfect sense to me.

My little guy is going to kindergarten in the fall. At least that's what we keep telling him. He is not interested in going there at all. He is a dirt and stick kinda child.

Could be a busy week for me, not sure of all the details to my week yet, but they could grow as the days go by. Oh well, I better get used to it again. It's that time of year.

Good Morning Ladies,

Thora, how old is your little one? Sounds like you totally had a relaxing Monday. I plan on planting once the weather finally decides to stay warm.

Kim, I purposely add my name in my signature line just for lovely sparkers as yourself, LOL. We totally have to get used to the rain because April showers are certainly here.

Work yesterday totally kicked my butt, but time went by soooooo fast. I was totally non stop for the entire day and then realized it was almost time to go home. I like days like that because I'm not dragging my feet trying to find things to do. Today, I have decided to walk from home from work. I have mapped everything out and it will be 5.6 miles and should take around 1 1/2 hours. Wish me luck! I totally know my hubby will think I'm crazy because he'll have to take me back to my car when he gets home from work. Plus, he'll have to pick up the kids from school. I'm actually enjoying my new walking paths instead of having to jump on the treadmill. I'll let you all know how I do.

And it was ok here. It did rain quite a bit and did not feel like the 60's that they said it was going to be.

Was sunny and BEAUTIFUL here today. Had to get outside when I got home. Worked in cleaning out the flower beds a little bit and played on the swing with my little one. Hope sunshine heads your way. It's supposed to get cold here later this week. emoticon

Kim, I was wondering if you'd be heading south soon. It's a surprise to hear you plan to move back that way. I hope it works out for you soon.

Thora, can you believe that today was the first day of Spring? It was raining cats and dogs this morning and then the sun decided to pop out for a little while. I do hope that tomorrow is a clearer day for walking. Lately, I have been enjoying my outside walks with my music. That's extremely relaxing! I wish you sunshine as well girl.

Kim, keep kicking it up a knotch girl, BURN BABY BURN! I sooo can't wait to get Turbo Fire, but for now I'm still doing Charlene Extreme, Slim & 6 and walking/runing. I'm also trying to work through my calories to make sure that I'm eating enough. It just isn't easy to equal out the two some times, but I'm trying to make it work.

This morning, I woke up late but was at least able to get in a 40 minute walk. Tonight after the kids are done eating, bathed and in bed I'm going to get in my strength training and some walking. Then I'll be heading to bed because I'm sooooo tired. Wishing you all a wonderful week.

I cant wait till May, I am going down South. And I am driving it too! My aunt lives in Alabama and then I will head to Georgia where my "play mom" lives and I use to live there a while ago for abt 1 1/2 year. I hope to return there in abt 5 years if the economy straightens out and the sale of homes comes up. But I love it so much down there, Georgia that is. No snow! Its mid to high 70's there now!

I am working quite a bit trying to get the debts straighten out and yah know the other thing I am doing.......TURBO FIRE!!!!!! emoticon Thats going well, just like Dtoney, I am trying to work out the amount of calories I need to eat to lose some pounds. And I burn a lot!!!! Thats hard but i am going to figure it out! Hope you all are having a very relaxing weekend!!!

Hey all! Life's good around here. Enjoyed a quiet day in the house doing little odds and end type of chores. I finally got on the treadmill today. The time change this week threw me off kilter and I didn't run all week! emoticon

Life is busy, but good. Looking forward to spring. We keep toying between warm days and surprise snow showers. Just went outside to see that's it's raining. Crazy weather. Keeps us on our toes!

I have been around making March a good month for me. I am soooo tired of seeing the 160's sooo I am fighting to break through. Thora you totally sound like a planner, which is huge to be able to be healthy during this journey. WTG with preplanning your meals and for staying on track during your busy times. Sometimes I totally wonder how us mothers get everything done throughout the day. Best wishes to you getting your masters.

Today was a pretty good da for me. I have been tracking each bite, got in my workout, cleaned the house, almost done with laundry and now getting daughter ready for dance class. Was a nice, but busy and rainy weekend here. Today the sun was shining though and that makes EVERYTHING so much better!

I will be getting my Master's in teaching related stuff. June will be CRAZY with two classes and two little ones playing ball. I will either be at school, studying or at the ballfield. Will definately do some of my favorite meal pre-cooking in May and if my lunch break is long enough during the class - if there is a lunch break - I will be wearing my running shoes and running laps in the hallways at the school the classes will be held in.

Have a great week everyone. I have a bonus day off tomorrow so will be running some errands and doing my meal prep for the week. Gotta a birthday in the house this week so that will be fun as well.

GM Sparkers,

Last night I had to work, which was the main reason my kids are in NY with my sister and their cousin. They have a blast running around and they get time with the family. Sunday's are my off days to relax and get ready for the week. I have gone food shopping and my Extreme & Slim & 6 DVD's are ready for me in the morning. I am currently driving to pick up my babies to bring them back home. I had such a relaxing weekend and I hope you all did too.

Well, it's almost official. The grad program I checked into is a go so looks like my next two years will be busy! It is being offered in the town I live in and with tuition waivers I just can't say no. This is really gonna cut into my pool time this summer... emoticon

It is nice here but did not get that warm and fuzzy Spring feelin over here. Still was on the chilly side but I guess its better than snow!

Hey all!

I am a new grandma and will post some pics on my blog! Take a look.....

IT WAS CRAZY Thora!!!!

I was off with a snow day on Wednesday and I was off anyway on Thrusday. Both days I did mayjor plowing and shoveling. But I chalk it up to an arm workout. emoticon

But I have no little one anymore to worry abt school closings. Yah know hospitals are nevr closed and they were giving 100 dollar incentives if you made it in on Wed. but my plan was to go in but no way was my car going to make it without getting stuck somewhere so I folded.

I went back today and I work the weekend so thats that! emoticon

Enjoy life to the "nth" power! If you have goals and aspirations set forth to do them now. Life is too short. Like Nike says...."Just Do It"

Well, things are thawing a bit here today even though the morning started at -5!! The ice on my wifi satellite has melted though so we are back online. We got about an inch of ice and 8 more of sleet and snow. Today was my third snow day and the kids will be crazy tomorrow at school : ( hope they studied for their test! No pity here ; ). Kim. How was the blizzard up north? How about everybody else?

It looks like we may have more sledding chances this week. The forcast is for ice and then snow. emoticon

Kim I agree claim it!!! I hear ya about how the body is different. I weigh less now than before babies only 8 years ago, but my two c-sections sure reshaped my belly. I don't think it will ever be totally flat again. oh well.... emoticon

Hey All,

I decided ( as in my latest blog) to claim the weight loss that I had with the flu. Since I have been eating now, i am holding at 147 pounds. And that is before starting back to exercise. As long as I am holding I am gonna claim it! 2 more pounds ro my dream goal baby!!!

Sad thing is that 147 does not look the the same 147 body I had 24 years ago! emoticon Anyway, that just goes to show that as we age we get softer and curvier and there is a must to do strenght training and cardio to lose the fat and keep everything tight...tight....tight..... emoticon

Oh friends and family time is wonderful.

Freeeeeezing here and I didn't want to get up. I should be at the gym but not great out. I will do some things here today.

Up early!!! I hope you have a chance for a nap later.LOL

A little bit of a stressful weekend. Our 21 yr old son bought a house. Lots of new things for both of us. I was able to babysit our new grandson a few short times though so it was wonderful.

Thora, I just love your weekend filled with friends and family time!

My day at work had a few slow points, but I made it through. I went to bed after 12:30am this morning and I don't know why my body bounced up at around 4:30 this morning. I'm going to be soooo tired this afternoon, but at least I get off at 1pm today.

A good weekend here. Dinner with friends, sledding with friends, church with friends and family and now watching the Blindside with hubby while kids are at their grandparents. emoticon

You did a good job with breakfast. It is important to enjoy life too.

I agree with Kim, eat breakfast. I LOVE breakfast, I am always hungry when I wake up but understand not everyone is. Even saying that, I usually save my fruit to take to work with me and eat it as a second breakfast, prior to my mid-morning snack. It's a good option.

I did have my celery but not a PB/almond butter lover but I will enjoy my dinner and then some fruit after that I didn't have at breakfast.

Ellie, you made excellent choices for breakfast and I don't think that one day off the plan will hurt your progress. Oatmeal is filled with healthy carbs, so if your hungry and need to eat something, having that will be a good choice. Do you think you could last until dinner without eating anything? You might want to grab something if you haven't eaten anything since breakfast.

Dedrie I ended up eating a boiled egg, toast and bacon. There were home fries and two eggs. I only had one egg and did not eat any of the home fries. So all in all well within my calorie range but not oatmeal.

I still have not had the oatmeal but think that it should be a morning thing. Two much carb late in the day is not good. I have it counted into my calories but I am thinking of not having it today.
What do you think?

Sole is on the menu for dinner.

Ellie, I do hope that you were ale to enjoy your breakfast. All you can do is take a look at the menu and choose foods that are as close to your meal plan as possible. Lately when I eat out, I have been asking for a to go bowl before I even start eating. This prevents me from over eating and once it's off the plate that's it. What did you end up eating?

Derailed already but I tried not to stress about it. Friends wanted to go out for breakfast. I tried to make it work as a lunch and will have my oatmeal reversed. Probably not a good plan but the best I can come up with.

What do you do in this case? We go out so little I cannot say no. We have been planning to meet up with these friends for a few months now.

Ellie girl! One day at a time and you will make it. We are here for you, emoticon Planning is everything for me and I have made sure each day I have enough cooked food in the fridge for the next day. This way I know I won't turn to the wrong foods. The good thing about this plan is that you eat the same thing every day. I'm looking forward to some potatoes next week. At least I think that's what the plan calls for, I'll check it out. Hubby already went shopping so I'm ready!

Kim, your advice is always appreciated!
