Hi Everyone! My name is Avanell. Thank you, Joyfilled Me, for inviting me to join this team.
I live in Tennessee with my sweet husband, Gerald, and our little poodle, Abby. I've been on Spark People for almost two years but didn't really get serious about sparking until sometime this past Spring. I am a yo-yo dieter. I think I started my first diet in the 6th grade. I've been up and down and it seems to be a repeat thing for me. Once I achieve my goal I relax and go back to the same old habits that got me overweight to begin with. I would like to be able to break this habit and become a lover of good, nutritious food that will help me sustain my weight loss and live a long, healthy life. I've been walking 7-9 miles a day for about 6 months now and it has helped me a lot in losing the weight. I would like to be able to continue that but even now am finding it easy to skip that last 3.5 mile walk in the evening since we have less daylight and cooler temps. I have a treadmill so no excuses....I can always walk inside! It's a motivational issue! I hope I can gain some good motivation from all of you! And I hope that something that I write will motivate you as well!
