Hi Gina! I have chocolate attacks everyday! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon mmm

I try to go without for as many days as I can; when that doesn't work, I allow myself some low--fat/low-sugar treats. And once in awhile, I just gorge!

Gina,

Just move on concerning the chocolate attack. You enjoyed it at the time and now it's over.

If you have too much knee pain, you may have to do an alternative so as not to put too much pressure on the knees. Just take it easy.

Going on my 3rd week and for some reason last night I just had a chocolate attack. But otherwise I have been doing well. Exercise is hurting my knees but I will not give up. emoticon

How do I get rid of this annoying "I ordered the Spark Tracker" picture under my profile pic? I didn't and don't intend to order it so I'd like to get rid of it. Thanks! :)

Here are my words of encouragement today for all of us:

Hi Shirley, just joined today. I'm 52 years old and I read your last post prior to the no support one. Just wanted to congratulate you on your mindset and what you've been doing. I think it's absolutely wonderful. I have no doubt you are going to reach your goals. Before I came to spark people I watched quite a few weight loss journeys. And literally watched people shed lbs by making their mind up and recording their actions. I can tell you have that same kind of spirit. So I will be looking forward to watching your progress and supporting you. I am 52 years old from DFW Texas. I think I'm entering menopause as I have not had a period in a few months. A few months ago I was in the middle of diet and picked up some weight and I didn't know what was going on. But now that it has settled in I know I have to get my self together and make a life change. I have arthritis, so it will be a challenge. I know God has already given me the strength. I just came off of a spiritual journey this last Tuesday. I went on a 21 day Daniel Fast. And I lost a few pounds during that, so I decided to continue on. I am 160lbs and want to lose 25 to 30 pounds by July. So wish me luck. And you keep up the good work. I'm watching and here to support you

Don't be discouraged! I know I don"t post until The weekends. I teach at risk teenage boys and they exhaust me. Remember Spark People is a life style change. A journey. We all struggle. We all get discouraged. But we all keep going day by day or hour by hour. The challenges of losing weight after 50 surprised me. Join a Spark people challenge. It motivates me.You CAN do this don't give up on us.

emoticon It's so quiet here!!!!

I had a pretty good day yesterday and learned that I have to be prepared for running late in the mornings. So being prepared the night before is a absolute necessity for me. I am right on track this morning with my meals....but it is pretty early yet. lol. I have the right mind set to stay focused and on track today. Got my cardio emoticon in this morning and it seems I have woke up my energy level for the day....It felt so good to get even 10 minutes worth of steady constant moving in and not have it effect my blood pressure. My start weight is 274 pounds. I have never weighed this much in my entire life. I must take this excess weight off. I was so hoping to find some help and support here.

I thought I would post again and see if anyone else should happen to show up. I need the accountability for my actions and friends to share our ups and downs with. Everyone needs to know they are not alone in this very hard challenge of weight loss. I do hope anyone whom happens to show up here has had a wonderful, successful day with their daily goals. I also hope to see anyone here soon.

We can do this yea know!!! I am here in the event anyone needs someone to talk too or just needs emoticon or a pat on the back and encouraging words to help you to keep moving forward. We don't want to go backwards in this. We must keep taking those little baby steps in the forward direction to meet out daily/weekly/monthly goals. I will have your back if you'll have mine emoticon

Hi everyone, I am new here and am trying to learn everything as I go. I have been searching most of the day for a group which I can relate to as well as others to relate to me. I am in need of help and support, as well as motivation. I have alot of weight to lose but find that I need the help of others that understand my success and failures on this journey I am taking on. I have tried to do it by myself but just can't seem to reach the goals that I set fourth. I can relate to many of the posts here and hope you will all let me join in. I have been on many other weight loss programs and have lost lbs just to gain them all back and then some. I am right now at the highest weight I have ever been in my life. I am a disabled individual with many health issues and lack of mobility which has been one of the reasons for my weight gain. I experience pain 24/7 which adds to my health problems due to the lack of mobility. I have been working on my menu plannner some today to get myself set up for the coming week to get me started on a new track of life and a healthier me. I so miss the person that has gotten lost in the midst of all this weight. I miss the hiking, fishing, dancing and all those things I used to do and loved to do and took for granite. My goal is to get back the things I loved to do and the activity I so lack in my life an oh I want it back so much. I seem to lose motivation and need others to support me when I may mess up and support me with praise when I do well. I am a person who supports others, and motivate others. It may sound like my self esteem is pretty low that I need others to support and motivate me, I am just being honest with everyone. So with that said I would love to be part of this with all of you if you will have me.
God Bless,
Sheryl

Hi. I turn 50 in July, so I decided to get in with the right team. I look forward to being a part and all of us encouraging each other as we work on healthier life styles. I seem to be one of those people that do well when I am accountable to others. So, here's to working together!

Hello everyone. As I read the prior posts I first would like to welcome each new person who is brave enough to begin this new journey with us. Secondly, I see myself in almost every post. I guess the bottom line is for each of us, we know our body. We know what our body responds to and what it doesn't. No one can tell us what we should do ( unless we are just being nuts ) So, listen to your body. If it tell you that you are going to have to exercise more to break the number on the scale then do it. If it says to cut back on calories...try it. If that doesn't work, try adding a few healthy calories (not snickers bars) As I age, I have been shocked at how differently my body reacts to what has always worked in the past. In other words...It DOESN'T! LOL For me, exercise is as or more important than anything and it is, by far, the most difficult thing for me to get off my lazy rear end and do. When I do though, I feel victorious!!!

Hang in there gang. We are all in this battle together. One day at a time. One step at a time. One fall, one get back up and one pound at a time. The scale isn't moving fast enough for me, that's a fact, but it is moving in the right direction.

I'd like to chime in on PUGSLEY24's comments. As you spend time learning SPs many tools, you may not be so addicted to looking for the quick fix. There are SO many ways to get healthy and stay healthy on this website that I don't think you'll ever discover them all. But trying out different methods should keep you occupied until--before you know it--you'll see some results!

Take one day at a time and look at every success as a another step in the right direction. SP has everything you need. Don't get down on yourself. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither were we.

I'm new to this site and have tried so many different diet programs with no success. Part of my problem is that I need to see very quick results or I quit and try something else. I've heard so much about SP but I'm so afraid that I'll fail. Any advice?

SOCCERFAN, you are normal emoticon ! This seems to happen to almost everyone who embarks on the weight loss journey. Give your body time to adjust to your lifestyle change. Take off a day here and there just to switch things up. If you underfeed your body for too long a time period, your metabolism will slow down because your body thinks you are starving and it's trying to hold on to the calories you are giving it.
I'm not saying that you should go out and gorge once a week, but maybe have a day when you eat some extra-but-healthy calories.
Soon enough, you'll notice that your clothes are fitting more loosely, and then you'll be seeing your weight go down. Besides the scale, there are other ways to measure success. Check out the WEIGH IN & Other Measurements section on the left side of your Start page. You may find that you are already losing weight but it's not yet showing up on your scale. emoticon
Good luck!

This is sooo frustrating! I quit smoking 25 days ago and I find that to be easier to deal with than fighting with my scale! I am counting every calorie, 40 mins. of aerobics everyday and gym exercises every other day. My body aches but my scale either doesn't move or goes up a pound!! what am I doing wrong! I also drink so much water that my bathroom is becoming boring to look at!UGH!

Well, this is very frustrating. I walked about 30 miles last week, worked out at the gym two days (75 mins each time), kept my eating within bounds on six out of the seven days and my scale not only shows No weight loss but I actually gained back 2.5 lbs.

How does that happen. For me to have gained 2.5 lbs, I would have to increase my calorie intake by 8,750 calories and I didn't do that. Plus, I burned off at least 500 calories and on most days much more daily.

So what's going on here.

I guess it must be a water gain. I was mentally prepared for a no loss week but it really bothers me to gain 2.5 lbs.

Hi all,
I'm from Wisconsin and I'm really glad that spring is here. (Not today, we are having a snowstorm. ugh!!) I always pack on the pounds during those dark, cold winter days. Winter clothes don't help either because they can hide alot.
Anywhoo, I am making a change for a healthier new life since I'm not getting any younger. I have a 14 year old son that I need to keep up with and I am trying to get my son and husband to follow this new lifestyle. I will support and encourage all you wonderful sparkers, so we all can be more happier and healthier!!

MARNE, That's such useful knowledge. Would you consider starting a new topic for our Team with that information? Maybe you could title it something like "Where on SP can I go for instant help?" Then members will see it and read it if they want to. I had done that once because I couldn't find the answer to my question anywhere on the site. But I had forgotten all about this option, and I'm glad to have been reminded emoticon

Go to community, then to message boards, scroll down and you will find a place that says "Get Help Here". I asked a question about my treadmill here and one of the coaches answered me personally and helped clear up my problem. Let me know what you find out, as my weight is at a standstill and I'm getting pretty frustrated. I am also getting very impatient.

I am proud to say that I've managed to get, and KEEP, my snacking urges under control-mostly due to following the same suggestions that MARNE94 posted. But I have another type of question. On a daily basis, when I track my nutrition for the day, I get a warning that my activity level exceeds the amount of calories I'm consuming. Is there any way or place to find out what they would recommend for my activity level? All it says on those warnings is to "click here to adjust your fitness goals". I don't WANT to do less exercise, I just want to know how much I should be eating to support my activity level.

Is there anyplace here on SP that I can find that out? Or am I just supposed to figure it out through experimentation and the process of elimination? I am NOT a patient person, and that's not working very well for me, hehe. In fact, I'm rapidly reaching that point of "hopelessness" again. Is there any way of making direct contact with the leaders here? I really feel like I'm in need of help. I understand that there are a lot of professionals working on this site, but can I talk to any of them?

I have been reading about some of you having trouble with wanting to nibble. I am almost through an 18 week fasting program and have lost 38 lbs. I am presently eating food, two snacks a day and one meal. I see a nutritionist, but I have to say, I learned more from reading the nutritional info from Spark People. I copied it and put it in a notebook for myself because it is the same thing (but written nicer) that the nutritionist lectured to us about. Now I have it all written down for me. Look for the parts about carbohydrates, proteins, fiber, fats.

Anyway, a suggestion to help you fight the hungries is have a snack which is high in fiber and protein. Drink lots of water. A high fiber/low calorie multi grain English muffin with 1 Tbsp of natural peanut butter might help. Also, La Tortilla has tortillas that are full of fiber and come in different flavors. Throw a little meat and some veggies on it, wrap it up and you won't be hungry for a while. Make sure you drink water to help digest the fiber. A half cup of Fiber One cereal mixed with some no fat yogurt and fresh fruit is a great way to make the morning go by without snacking. The Fiber One bars are also good, but don't forget the water. A high fiber product has 3 or more grams of fiber, so pair that with some protein, and it may keep you from snacking too much. Try to keep your fats at a reasonable percentage. My personal goal is below or near 25% for the total snack or meal. Good luck!!!!
We are so blessed to have access to this free site. emoticon

CECHONE, I have felt that same way. These days after the holidays are full of temptaions to overeat for me, too! Maybe it is the cold and cloudy winter days that make us want to eat for comfort. I have to push myself a little harder to keep up my workout each day.

I don't know what the answer is to that except will-power, positive self-talk, and spending time on this website. If you have any ideas, I'd like to hear them!

Its been awhile since I last posted anything on this team page. Today is Sunday and its my worst day for eating. I don't know why since I go to church for three hours on Sundays. I think I must graze too much and I end up gaining a pound or two for the next week. This sabotages my weight loss since I have to start all over again on Monday to keep up track! It has been worse since the holidays ended!!!

Hi SHERRIEJEANNE emoticon Sounds to me like you are already off to a great start! However, in answer to your question, I checked on the Spark People Start page. To the right of the large, bolded word START is a small paragraph that includes the words Getting Started Guide in red letters. It's really hard to see it. Anyway, if you click on that, you come to the GETTING STARTED page. On the left, you'll see a list of things you can do on Spark People. #7 is Create your SparkPage and then make a blog post to tell others about you. If you click on that, you'll be able to do your SparkPage. It's a lot of fun!

Hope this answers your question. We're glad you're on our Team.

Sorry I haven't been on this thread - haven't been getting some of the Spark emails again. Karen - glad you are doing well on the No "S" diet. I'm starting that too; we'll see how long I can stick with it. Connie is right - sometimes you just have to give in to a craving and not let it get to you; just pick up where you left off afterward and don't beat yourself up about it.

There's a great article in Woman's Day that I've heard about from Sparkguy's blog:
The October 20th edition of Woman's World Magazine features SparkPeople Member TerrahNe (Terrah) on the cover. Terrah is an avid walker and amazing SparkPeople member who has lost over 73 pounds. This is a special issue of Woman's World as it also features SparkPeople member DCash10367 (Deanna) in the same article. Deanna has lost an inspiring 110 pounds! SparkPeople success stories are taking over the world! Hurry up and grab a copy of the magazines as it will be disappearing from newsstands soon. Congrats to both Terrah and Deana!

Hey, Karen,
Don't be too hard on yourself. I sabotage my diet all the time and I used to get so angry with myself. But, I make sure I do my cardio every day and I take time to think about how I feel about what I just ate that I shouldn't have. Sometimes I admit that I needed that milkshake or candy bar or that extra helping. But most times I realize that eating one of those things seemed so necessary before I ate it, then I realize that I didn't achieve the desired result (inner satisfaction) at all. I try to remember that the next time I'm seized with a "snack attack".

Other tricks I play on myself are to drink, drink, drink; tell myself I can have the desired food in 30 minutes (and by then I don't want it), and to keep busy so I don't have the time to think about food.

You probably know all that and just wanted to vent. Well I HEAR you!

connie
P.S. SparkPeople has some great articles on "falling off the wagon", etc.

Enjoy your weekend!

I have had a day or 2 of being so hungry and eating much more than I need. I have only had one snack a night, but its been many tiny candy bars. I'm so angry at myself, i was doing so good, now I have to get back on track.
I know I can do this one day at a time, if I just stop and think every time I am going to sabotage my eating plan and make right choices.

Wonderful! I agree with how much better we feel when we eat right. In my previous job, I talked to community groups about nutrition. When someone followed my advice, the most common comment I would get was "I feel so much better! I didn't know how bad I felt before."

Anyway, I'm planning to follow your advice--I've been dipping into the sweets a little too often recently and it does make me tired....

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you.
No S Diet is going great, I haven't lost tons of weight, as its coming off slowly, but I feel so much healthier. I feel lighter and not so tired all the time. I kind of like being hungry now and feel I don't have to shove food in 24/7. Food has taken a back set to my life now,I eat my 3 meals and thats it.
Can do this for life.

I want to shout it from the roof top about No S Diet.
I have lost 4.4 lbs this week, just by cutting out sweets, snacks and seconds.
It doesn't even feel like a diet to me.
This is the less I have weighed in over a year.

Congratulations, Karen, for coming up with a successful plan! And many thanks for sharing it. Have you considered telling about the NoS plan on one of the Message Board Hot Topics? I think many people could benefit from this information.

Happy Saturday!

Barb, I can relate to what your are saying.
I'm new to this group, but not new to Sparks.
I have been with Sparks for over a year now and have not lost any weight what so ever, oh sure I haven't gained any, but the point is to lose!
I too have been exercising off and on, and restricting food to the point of starvation, but I realized I haven't given up binging, or snacking all the time. I do great on meals, but between is where my weight gain has happened.
Luckily I have found the NO S DIET and its working for me like not other diet every has.
Simply put you eat

no sweets nutritious
no snacks no binging
no seconds portion control
except on days starting with S sensible rewards

that's it.

Now I'm learning to put food in its place in my life, and not the center, to be an albatross around my neck.
I plan good healthy meals each day, I plan good small snacks on the weekend.
I also have started doing WATP at least 3 times a week.

Hi Barb - so sorry to be so late in responding - we were away. As Connie says, this is absolutely the place to post for help and suggestions. You've gotten some good ones. I too have been stuck on a plateau; just finally moved that scale last week to reach a mini-goal, and then put on a few pounds while traveling! Arrrrhhhh! But it will come off - sometimes later rather than sooner, which I know is frustrating, but hang in there. You are exercising, and as I'm sure you know, muscle weighs more than fat, so that may be part of the problem. But if you are feeling better and healthier, than you ARE succeeding - good for you!
Keep us posted...

Hi Barb!
Yes, you are in the right place--we DO have room for you. emoticon

I just wanted to echo what SHEENADEE said to you. There are tons of articles, etc. about how to move off that yucky emoticon plateau. One Spark People tip that has worked well for me is the one about mixing up your work-outs. You can find all kinds of suggestions and examples in the Pitfalls and Plateaus section of the Fitness Articles section under HEALTHY LIFESTYLE. I expect that is the weblink that SHEENADEE told you about. Check it out and come back to us to report your successes!

Hi Bscholte - Sorry to hear that you're not progressing the way it seems you should. I certainly can send some prayers your way.

It sounds like you are really sticking with getting your exercise in & that is fantastic. Once you budge off this plateau, the pounds will probably start flying off. I can'd pretend to have the answer for you; but have you checked out some of the info here on SP about plateaus and kick-starting your program? Here's the link for just one that I found that I thought might be good for you to check out. Might be worth giving some of their tips a try. Take care & hang in there.

Good Evening Everyone, I am not sure if this is the forum where I should ask if you have room for another Barb? I need your help! I have been trying so hard for the last couple of months and the scale is just not moving. I am so discouraged, I am been exercising 3-6 times per week (walking 13 - 15 minute mile) and I do feel better but the weight stays the same! I know all the answers but I just need the scales to move!! Please pray for me, as I will for all of you!! Thank you for reading! Barb emoticon

September 1, 2008 My birthday and I am back after several months!! Refocused and committed to begin again. With God's help and your encouragement my journey begins now!

I noticed a couple of you talked about your frustrations when the weight loss stops. That IS a great big bummer! emoticon

I may be preaching to the choir, but S.P. has quite a few articles on the subject of hitting a plateau. they also have some exercise suggestions that I have found really helpful. The bottom line is you've got to change up your workout routine. One simple way of doing that is to spend different amounts of minutes on cardio each day. Changing your method of cardio helps, too. Anyway, check out the articles and the fitness resources.
Good luck!

Also to Skinnylynny: just go to the Fitness page under Healthy Lifestyles. Click on the list exercise demos to find some about arms. And today, there is an article on getting ready to wear a bridesmaid gowns on the left side of the page. Really!

Even though I didn't seem to eat much yesterday, and was busy most of the day into the evening, we ate dinner after 8 PM becasue we were working on the kitchen (it's just about done as far as the construction work goes) and cleaning the dining room where a lot of the stuff had been put. Maybe that's why my weight is back up, but I am getting rather frustrated. At one point I was 5 pounds from that mini-goal of 199; now it's 7 pounds. Arrrrgggghhhh!

That is exactly what I meant about sharing any advice, ideas, or helpful hints! There's some good ideas there that I'm sure will be helpful to our fellow team members.
On another good note - I've passed my plateau point, and am now at my lowest so far since starting Sparkpeople. Finally!

Hi Fellow 50's + Team.

SLW1955 sent me a congrats for losing 20 lbs & asked if I had any advice, hints, etc. to share with the group. I figured what I can do is just simply let you know the things that are working for me & that have contributed to my weight loss the past few months. I started my new "healthy" plan on April 8 this year. Since then, I have lost an average of 1 1/2 pounds each week. I secretly wish I was losing it faster; but realistically I know this slow, steady pace is exactly the right way to go. Here are the main things I've changed in my life that are helping me right now:

- record every bit I eat right away; I haven't skipped a day yet
- weigh & measure everything that isn't pre-marked
- eat larger helpings of vegies and fruits
- use Wii Fit for exercise at least 3 times per week
- visit SparkPeople each day and read a few posts from people to help keep me on track
- use my elliptical trainer more than before; I still don't use it as often as I think I should but average 2 times each week
- when am about to stop the elliptical, pedal at least one minute longer (I usually do just 20 mins at a time)
- when I take the dog outside, I walk around the yard with him instead of standing & waiting
- at work, instead of walking across my floor to the restroom I try to walk up one flight of stairs, across that floor & then down again to the restroom
- use Salad Spritzers instead of any other type dressing. These add just a little flavor, but I've grown to love them & only use 8 to 10 calories for a fairly large salad
- oh yeah, most importantly, I tell my husband over and over again to stop asking me if I want something to eat!!! He is such a feeder & I find that I will say yes to something he offers me even though I had not thought about eating something before he asked.

I guess that's all I have to offer at the moment. Thank you all for working together on our journies. I hope someone finds this of use.

Sheenadee

Absolutly! That tilt-in feature is a big plus, as is the double-pane low-e gas and the ease of opening plus a security latch to be able to open the windows just a little. So cool!

Sorry you didn't get to your movie, but at least you had a nice visit with your son. I'm leaving shortly to go to son's for the usual babysitting gig. I'll be glad when the kitchen's done and son can bring the girls to me again!

Oh yeah - I need to water my house plants too - thanks for reminding me.
emoticon

Crown molding can look so nice; the people who had our house before we bought it put up crown molding in the dining room, as well as chair rail in there and in the kitchen. It looks nice. I loved the old crown molding in our London flat - 100 yr old building and it was so pretty.

We spent the morning taking down curtains, blinds, and stuff off the windows and sills; the window contractor starts replacing the windows tomorrow. YAY! I will finally have nice windows I'll be able to open without struggling, and won't have to mess with changing screens to storm windows and back again every spring and fall. What a luxury!

I just came in from outside; I did a little weeding, and helped dh prune the 2 holly bushes way back; they were getting really scraggley looking. He also topped off the 3 lilac bushes (these are Southern ones that seem to grow up rather than out like Northern ones) and a pine tree. There are electrical wires above those plants so we want them to grow outward rather than up. Hopefully we haven't killed them!
emoticon

What movie do you want to see? I'd still like to go see "Sex In the City", but doubt that dh wants to go!

Have a good afternoon!

good idea! I'll do that tomorrow morning...I'll call my mechanic.

Today I have SUCH a list of to dos...clean out car... feng shui my office...lol...laundry...water plants...the list goes on. None are really big jobs, well, maybe if I get to the office!...but they do need done today.

Sounds like your kitchen is coming together...YAY!

I need to look at some crown molding for my living room...I've been trying to figure out what the room needed, then watched a home improvement show yesterday and the bells went off. I think it is just what the "house" doctor ordered! Guess I'll add that to my list, too!

And believe it or not, I want to fit in a movie today.

Well, I'd better get at it
later

No, Rags, I don't think you can drive with a broken axel. Do you know anyone who is good with cars who could answer that question? That would be for me the defining answer...

Wow - have I missed a lot here! Didn't get my Spark email for this thread for some reason. Didn't mean to be MIA!

Barb - this is a great team - very helpful and encouraging. I know what you mean about dealing with the younger people. Half the time I don't even know what they're talking about! That's the case on my local site, which is managed by a young 30-something. Very sweet though - wants to get together for coffee sometime.

Amy and Rags - good for you, keeping each other accountable! Having a diet buddy is a great help. I tried to talk a friend here in town into doing this with me but she's not interested - too busy right now still pitying herself after a nasty divorce...2 years ago! I keep telling her good riddance to bad rubbish and to move on. She'd rather meet me for coffee and order fattening food and eat it in front of me (she just doesn't stop to think that that's not helpful to either of us!).

Rags, as for your dilemma, best to talk to family who are familiar with the situation, although as shown by your son's reaction, not necessarily bipartisan! I'll hope for enlightenment for you for the situation.

I was doing great - until I found part of a bag of M&M Peanut candy in the pantry. I ate a good 2 handfuls, maybe. Like you, Rags, I gave in to those chocolate cravings. Bad bad bad me! But I'm going walking this am, so hope that's helpful...

Have a good day y'all!

all I said to my son was "Aunt Linda asked to borrow some..." and he blurted out, "No, DO NOT LEND HER ANY MORE MONEY" Guess he feels pretty adamant about it. I'm gonna pray about it tonight...don't know what else to do. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
And at any rate this warrants a phone call, not email.

Rags,
I guess that watermelon could have that effect - it has a lot of fiber. As for your family and loans, I"ll pray for wisdom for you. It's hard to be tough with people you love. I hope your son has some helpful thoughts tonight.

I stayed strictly within my nutrition guidelines and walked for 30 minutes today - Yay! I was concerned that my deviation yesterday might cause me to keep eating unhealthy foods. But I put on the brakes and got back to business. Hoping for another good day tomorrow!

I cannot figure out what I've eaten, but I should be 10 lbs less after the last few days. not diarrhea, but OFTEN. I know I've eaten something...I know watermelon is a diuretic, but maybe more? That's the only thing I can think of. But it's a good thing, right? lol

I'm in a bit of a quandry...a brother needs help, and I can afford it...a sister needs help, and I can afford it...I love them dearly, but out of 6 kids, these two are...let me think here...the 2 who are always needing bailed out of something. One is an electric bill and the other is without a car. Do I do it again, or not? Old soft hearted me, after a while I just tell them to forget the loan...but this is some of my retirement money, and I hope to live long enough to enjoy some of it. But they are family. I just don't know what to do. Guess I'll talk to my son about it tonight. I feel mean if I don't, but I don't want to feel used either.

Enough grousing...
