Welcome! I, too, live in San Francisco, and I, too, can relate to the "all or nothing" way of life. I've been working on developing the attitude that small changes, done consistently can give significant results and ultimately, as one builds on them, turn into big changes.
If you want a personal buddy, I'm pretty sure Spark has a way for you to connect with someone. And, of course, you can always post on this team's threads. I don't know what other teams you belong to, but I find I get wonderful encouragement, support, information, and humor from all my teammates.
I see you don't have a Spark page. You might want to check out creating one. They are a great way to help us all get to know each other and to communicate in different and fun (Goodies) ways. I would only tell you what Spark does: Be very careful what personal information you put on it. If you do a search, you can probably find the Spark article. I hope I don't sound paranoid, but I had my identity stolen; so I am highly aware of security.
Best of luck with your goals,
Whatever befalls the earth befalls the son of the earth. Man did not weave the web of life; he is merely a strand of it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.
It takes courage to grow up and turn out to be who you really are.
Every second is a door to eternity. The door is opened by perception.
Fire is the test of gold, adversity of brave hearts.
I'm trying to check off my "Introduce myself to the Community" box, so here goes...
I'm 23, living in San Francisco, and in need of some motivation (read: in need of a Community/buddy to call me on it when I make excuses). I'm very much an "all or nothing" person when it comes to nutrition and fitness, and I'm looking to hop out of the "nothing" mode I'm currently in and start being more conscious of the things I'm eating/start getting back into the workout regimen I used to be so good about.
Here's hoping it works!
