I just received the Yoga for Beginners video today. I want something to enhance the yoga for arthritis book. You Tube videos for yoga, what a great idea! I will have to check that out, now that I have spent $ on this CD LOL...

OK, I sure will. Amazon.com has some yoga workout videos and books related to arthritis that I am going to be checking into. I will let you know what I find out.

I was looking at utube and there are a lot of yoga videos on there. It seems like I would start with the foot yoga. I know that would help me a lot if I could get my feet less painful. Let me know what seems to work for you. I am really interested in learning more about this.

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I look forward to checking out the book. I enjoy the yoga I can do and think that finding more positions and stretches would benefit me even more. Thanks again.

I was unable to find a video of the Yoga for Arthritis, but I did find a nice book from Amazon that is very easy to follow. Each chapter focuses on a specific area of the body. Also, there is a good introduction discussing arthritis & yoga. "Yoga for Arthritis" by Loren Fishman MD and Ellen Saltonstall.

I just order a beginning Yoga video, because the one I currently have is too advanced for me at this point.

Hope that helps. Happy stretching!

Hi and welcome back! I am new to the group as of today. I noticed that you mentioned in your post yoga for arthritis. Do you exercise to a DVD or anything? I recently started a 6 week yoga class and the last session is this week. I can take some of what I learned and use it, although it wasn't really geared towards arthritic conditions. I would like to learn more about the yoga for arthritis. Thank you.

I just was diagnosed with Osteo Arthritis of the hip, after suffering a bad fall where I broke my shoulder and arm and sprained my hip. I was trying to do too much cardio at the time and I think my hip just gave out under me. I am just now getting back into the swing of things after 8 weeks of pain and need to approach my exercise differently this time. I have started with some yoga for arthritis and Leslie Sansone walking video. I thought this group will be helpful to share ideas. Thanks!
