I have osteoarthritis in my knees and feet along with permanent nerve damage in my arms. I also have RA in my hands and feet, so I am pretty much in the same boat as you.
Have you done a SparkPage yet? If you haven't, please do and tell us a little about yourself. Are you married, how much do you have to lose, do you work outside the home? These are all things that I would like to know before I can help you. If you don't want to do a sparkpage, you can PM me and I will see what I can do to get you on the right path.
I work full time outside the home at a drug store. I do a lot of walking some day, and some days I do a lot of sitting, so it is a balance mostly. I try to get in at least 2000 steps a day. If I make that, I am happy. Using the nutrition tracker on SP has helped me a lot also. It is great to be able to track what you eat and keep track of the nutrients that you need to watch in your diet. I try to keep my calories around 1500, my fiber in between 25 - 35,fat at 35-56, and protein at 78-125. I weigh 225 right now, and this is working for me. I also try to eat every 2-3 hours. If you can, take a look at my sparkpage and there is a link for you to view my food journal. Let me know if you can't find it.

I have just joined the group. I have Osteoarthritis throughout my body-the only place I don't is in my elbows where I have fibromylgia. I am desperately trying to lose weight to help my Osteo but don't seem to be able to exercise due to the pain. Anyway have some easy exercises that would help. I have other medical issues that cause problems as well. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
