thanks so much for my GIFT CARD -
just an update on my goals - they are very slow - but i have to stick with it - i am back on the treadmill albeit not as regularly as i should be. and i am either walking at the mall or around the neighbourhood - so i am moving more. we had that nice weather - but cold again at the moment.
food wise i am doing quite well - loss wise - very little - but DOWN yeah!!
i would still hope that by October i can be at or very close to my goal weight. we will see. BB

Happy 2nd Sparkversary to everyone on this team!

What a different year for me than my 1st year. I've had lots of hurdles within last 12 months - travelling, sicknesses/surgeries in my family, and additional work stress due to a new boss. I carry sparkpeople knowledge with me at all times but not so diligently. Food was my expensive antidepressant lately and I gained 6 lbs back. But I am proud to say that within last year I helped my husband to lose over 30 lbs. using the same sparkpeople tricks when I lost my 60. I hope to give Sparkpeople my full attention again very soon. I know I will and I will never quit!

I hope to hear more stories here about your 2-year journey with Sparkpeople!

Anna

i just thoroughly enjoy all the support - i like the information, jokes and the day to day struggles we all talk about . it always helps to know 'we are not going through this alone' - everyone of us has the ups and downs - not just of weight loss but just everyday crap. (for lack of a better word) but also it is so kind when some one shares a GOOD time - we all get to enjoy it some how.
i think i am more stable - better off for having joined cause it gives me a place to communicate. i don't really have anyone in person - no one is interested in the old weight loss problem, or whatever - they have problems of their own.
i wish i could meet more people in reality who liked what i like - but so far that has not happened. i love live theatre and yes, it is expensive - but it is only once every couple of years. i don't go to movies as most don't interest me and they will be on tv anyway. i already pay for a cable package.
but a live show to me is an event - i look forward so much. my daughter is taking me to the bryan adams concert - i am sooooo excited about that.
i like to just walk in the malls - maybe buy a coffee and people watch - but most people say if i can't afford to shop i am not going there. i don't know why they miss out on decorating ideas, fashion ideas, renos, etc. for free just looking at what the stores set up.
it is better than watching it on tv in my opinion.
some times you strike up a conversation - like me the other day - a lady said to me 'oh you text - good for you i am afraid of it' - so i showed her and she said her grand daughter was trying to help her - so i told her GO FOR IT and you will have some fun with your granddaughter besides learning a new skill that puts you into the 21st century. we laughed. anyway - i really enjoy being part of this team - i salute our team leaders for being fun, supportive and just there!! thanks guys.
have a great day and happy valentines to you all BB
