I am Mary and I live in Western NC. I am getting married in 266 days and have a wedding dress that is a little too small (its an 8 I am struggling to get into an 11). I am hoping that I can fit into it by December because I have some minor alterations that need to be done and this dress needs to fit before they are done so that it will fit GREAT when they are done.

I have 97 lbs to lose and could use some support along the way. Since reaching my 50's it's been a real challenge to get any weight off. But I know with hard work and determination, I will lose all I need to lose to get back the body I know I have under all this fat.

JSU1137N they do have an App for Sparkpeople... i have it on my phone... it is only to do tracking really but it sure helps.... and i have found it really helps with being an emotional eater because i log the min i put something in my mouth.. makes me a little more accountable...

Hi! I've been a member of Sparkpeople since 2009 but haven't really been hardcore. Last year I stepped up my better eating and working out and completed my first 5K only to be hit with several health issues and have several surgeries. I'm looking to finally get healthy, be done with the health issues, and have set a goal to complete 3 races this year, at least. I hope I've found a group for moral support.

I have been a member of Spark People since 2010. I was 30 pounds lighter. Losing weight has always been an issue for me! When i lose, it has always been an issue to keep it off. I am an emotional eater. LOL. I eat when i experience every emotion. I eat when im happy, sad, hurt, or excited, but i am ready to change! I need to lose about 80 pounds. I currently weigh 280 at 5'9. I wish Spark People had an app on the android market! Good Luck to everyone.

Hello, I recently just dusted off my spark page. I have been a member since 2010, and did not use this site to its full potential. I have tried the weight loss thing and loss 50lbs but soon gained and back and now I am frustrated and back to where I started from. Its a lonely Journey and when you dont have much support at home. Hey! My name is Jemita. I am 28 years old and bigger than I have ever been. I am a mom to a beautiful 9 month old, and wife to the love of my life. My family means everything to me and I'm tired of feeling ugly and unhealthy around them. I have been up and down in my weight all my life...my lowest and happiest was 138 at my wedding almost four years ago. I weighed 230 during my pregnancy and was able to get down to 207. But now I need some help! I would like to be 160 by the beginning of July...I figure the days will go by one way or another so I may as well be loosing! Hi! I am Kara. I am trying the SparkPage thing again because it was truly motivational in the past. In the past, I was more of an observer though, so I didn't have the feeling of being accountable to anyone else. I want to be more involved this time around. Hi there y'all, I'm brand-new to this site and this group. I'm 180 pounds and five foot eight, which is chunky, but I'm not even fifteen yet, which makes it worse. My parents are both "morbidly obese", cancer survivors, and battling diabetes, and I want to grow up to have a better life that what they're struggling through now. I'm trying to get control of my health as early as possible. I want to lose 50 pounds, as my pediatrician says that will be on the thin side of healthy (my goal). I'm a sophomore in high school (I skipped a grade) and so I'm constantly surrounded by sixteen and seventeen year olds who can wear tank tops and short shorts without feeling self conscious. My self esteem isn't great about my body, but I hope that my confidence will increase as I shed pounds.

Part of me suspects that I'm a loser, and the other part of me thinks I'm God Almighty.

Hi all,
I'm new to this group but not to Spark Pages.
I recently turned grrrrr...... 50. I am so wanting to be at my healthy weight before I see 51 and while I still have some diva bones left in me. :)
I have tried so many different types of "diets" but I'm back to square one with Spark Pages, just track my foods I eat and exercise. No special this and none of those No NO foods. I love to cook so just time for me to turn to what I know.
I live in Michigan and it's starting to get cold, so after I get done here I am setting up an exercise spot up for me in our basement and then planning out my meals for the week. Yep fellow Diva's I am going to try and get SERIOUS here. emoticon

My name's Aisha...
I'm a 28 year old vegetarian in Richmond, Virginia.
Im starting my weight loss journey fresh!
Last year, I reached my heaviest weight. Got on the scale at the doctor's office and was devastated. I immediately starting working out and counting calories; I lost 34 lbs in 3.5 months!
I kept it off for several months until around January of this year I started gaining weight slowly. 8 months later and 50 lbs heavier, I've found that I have some sort of health issue contributing to my rapid weight gain. (Vitamin D deficiency + another source, still being researched).... emoticon

I've decided I have to change my lifestyle back to the way it was last year when I lost so much. My goal weight is 85 lbs away now... But despite whatever health issues I have, I am going to change my lifestyle, incorporate diet regularly, and be happy with who I am.

Hello ladies, I'm here from California I grew up a slim young lady and just blew up over time from emotional eating and lack of exercise. I've taken the weight off a number of time over the years yo -yoing as the saying goes, I've taken the pounds off through healthy eating and exercise. hello ladies my name is Nicole and im from boston. I'm a newly wed, and also a mother of 2.. after having a great body two kids later i want to get the weight back off.. i work full time go to school full time and I'm a full time mom. so i need to find the time and the motivation to eat healthy and get this weight off.

Hello, I am new to this team and ready to drop some pounds. I really like the topic and i know I am a Diva so today, another challenge begin... a dropping pound diva I am. I gained all my weight because I was out eating all the time when I met my (now) boyfriend four years ago. I want to be that small diva again and love the life I live.

Hello! I joined this group a few months ago and then dropped off. I had some family drama that tore me away from me. It involved my brother and his wife. Well, things aren't any better, but time to refocus on ME! I've lost 50 pounds before with the help of SP, but it all came back plus a few more, hehe. Thats ok. Such is the journey. But now its TIME FOR ME!!!
