You can do it ! Another beauty is if you "fall off the wagon" one day you are not doomed to failure... you are learning a lifestyle, so you can get back on your program and succeed.

Learn a little each day and move your body! Ask questions and ask for motivation when you need it!

There are two options regarding committment - your either IN or your OUT. There is no such thing as life in-between.

A person who wants something will find a way..
A person who doesn't will find an excuse...

Good for you! It's ok to start slow. I started with just tracking my food and trying to stay within my calorie range. Then I started adding just cardio workouts. My first time on the elliptical I could barely keep it going and lasted only 18 minutes (I was going to do 15, but I found the machine has a 3-5 minute cool down period.) After 5 weeks or so I have just started adding in some of the video workouts. Yes it's hard, but you can do it! Ask for help if you need it. emoticon for joining!

Actions speak louder than words.

Don't worry if you falter now and then, just be sure to try again. A little bit of healthy guilt can work wonders.

Smile and make somene's day.

Showing what my weight is for all to see helps motivate me.... I don't want any one to see it go up or stay the same for very long! Hope you stay with us! emoticon

It is hard! Staying motivated and on track is a challenge. The nice thing is that you can find others struggling like you (so you are not alone), you can find others to motivate you (when you just can't motivate yourself) and you will find that you have something to share too with others which helps heal the inner us. I love this website!

Hi, I am 37 years old and have been overweight for most of my life. I want to get healthy but it's hard. I heard about sparks and it seems to work so I am giving it a go.
