Hello all,
I'm new to the group. I'm 29 with about 35lbs to loose to get to a healthy BMI. I don't expect to loose it all in 100 day, but I look forward to at least make it half way. Yesterday was my day 1, and I look really forward to completing this challenge. I just finished a round of Insanity on Sunday, and I will be starting Focus T25 next Monday for 10 weeks (so this is my rest week). I think that I would like to not only make this a 100 days of fitness, but of happiness and fulfillment too :)

Hi, my name is Dale. I've been here before. I have lost 40 pounds. My weight loss has stalled. So, I decided to kick up a notch and get some motivation with it. The 100 Day Challenge is just what I need.

Hi everyone my name is Cathy I am 48 years old and live in Oregon. I was inspired by a mom and daughter team who did 100 days of fitness. I have never done anything for 100 days so I am set. I am starting out with drinking 8 cups of water for 100 days and I know things will fall into place and I will add more but I am going to start small changes.

Hi all!

My name is Sandra and I am new to the team. I hope to be inspired by all who are here and hopefully be an inspiration to others.

This 100 day challenge is a new challenge for me. I hope to push myself to do 100 days of exercise and be transformed not only physically, but mentally and emotionally.

Tomorrow will be my day 1 since I joined late in the day. This will also help me get a fresh start on this new journey and challenge emoticon

Hi, my name is Tatiana and I am on a mission to get rid of my weight and become a healthy person. Ive been battleing my weight for over 15 years and after having a very hard personal tragedy last year I decided I can't put this off anymore. I just need to become a healthy person.
The other day I googled "how to create an exercise habit". One of the things I read is to create a new habit you need to change your identity to someone to has that habit. So my new identity is "I am someone that NEVER misses a workout". By commiting to working out 100 days in a roll I can prove to myself that I am that person.
So excited to be here.

Hello all! I am very exciting about joining this team. I have been a Spark member for about a month and this site is AWESOME! I have been exercising all the while and feel fantastic because of it.

My name is Lori and I am 50 years old. I have MS, diabetes and osteoarthritis, but none of that is going to stop me...this time. I am ready to achieve my goals of better health and live the rest of this life to the fullest, with gusto!

It's good to be a part of this team. I am looking forward to getting to know you!

My ticker is incorrect. If I lost 266 inches, I would be invisible...lol

Hi everyone - since we have several awesome new teammates I thought I might as well reintroduce myself as well. My name is Hollynn and I am 43 years old. I joined Spark in 2009 and have kept 100 lbs off for most of the past few years (with the usual 2 steps forward, 1 step back). This is the year for me to finally lose the last 35 lbs or so - at least that is the plan! Exercise is absolutely critical to many things for me: happiness, mood control, stress control and weight loss. That was why I ultimately started this team - to remind myself and others that 100 days of exercise make it "routine" to prioritize exercise which in turn then helps you prioritize your health and happiness. I have done the 100 days straight 7 times (even did a full year without a day off the first year, but that felt a little obsessive so I purposely took time off). I look forward to watching all of you reach your goals!

Hi everyone! I have been working on my health for about a year and have lost about 75 pounds but this winter has been really hard. It feels like one day I was doing good and the next day I was back to my old lifestyle, bad habits and cravings. So I am hoping this will help me to change back to my healthy habits. All help is appreciated! Also, I'm signing up to walk a half-marathon in June, so I know that I have to stay active and walking so I can start training outside when the weather gets nicer again.

So, here I am!

Hello everyone!!!

I'm so glad to have found this challenge! I've been reading your blogs for a few years now Spunkyducky, but somehow I missed this. I started keeping track of an exercise streak not having a goal, just to keep it up. I'm on day 49 today, but I hope it's ok to start from where I am. One thing I do different is that I don't exercise on Sundays for religious reasons so I don't count it. I'm looking forward to joining you all in the 100 day challenge. Thanks and keep sparking!

Hi,
I have been on sparkpeople for over 4 years now. I had a lot of success in 2009-2010 and lost 70 lbs. I got pregnant at the end of 2011 and gained way too much weight during pregnancy (65 lbs). My baby is 6 months old and I am trying to get back to my lowest weight from 2011 (45 lbs to lose). Exercise has been a key component in my past success, especially exercise streaks.

I joined a while back, and got as far as 4 days and it all went to Hades in a handbasket. Well, now I'm back, starting over today. Right now I'm just doing some Pilates. I have a book that has a 7 exercise basic series that I'm doing for the rest of this month. Then on September 1st I'm switching to an 18 exercise beginner program in another book, and will hopefully be ready for the 36 exercise full program in that same book by October 1st. But if not, I'm not going to beat myself up about it. I'll just stick with the beginner program for another month and re-evaluate myself. I want to add some kind of cardio to it, too. I have WATP and Zumba. Zumba looks like a blast - but since I would have to do that upstairs in the living room may be a bit difficult to get in. My target date is November 14th, with a weight loss goal of 5 pounds a month, so in addition to tracking my workouts I'll be weighing myself the first Sunday of every month. Current weight is 180.2, hoping to get down to 165 by the end of my challenge.

Wanted to say hi and let you know a little about me other than my intro.
I'm 55, soon to be 56 and I have been married 16 years to a wonderful guy that has CHF. I almost lost him 2 years ago but thankfully he made it thru and I've been working towards making healthier changes to both our diets to improve his heart strength. He's still only at 35 % and I know that's mainly because of his weight. He's well over 100 lbs too heavy and his age makes it hard for him to be willing to make changes he needs to make. And I've let myself go due to menopause, and stress eating so now it's time to finally get back into the swing of things and get this weight off once and for all.
Recently I considered staying off the scale but I've been a scale watcher for 30 years and I just don't see that changing anytime soon.
I'm the heaviest I've ever been in my life and it's time I get back to a weight I know will be healthier for me. I'm working towards getting down to 185 lbs. I won't be thin but I'll be much healthier than I am now. Once I get to that weight I'll decide if I want to go lower.

Hi! I just discovered SP last Wednesday, and earlier today I began to wonder if I'll really keep doing this over a long period of time.
But you have put the challenge out there and I'm joining in! (You've also given me permission to use the 'restart button' -that's helpful!

Today is June 24 and a hundred days from now will be Oct. 2nd.

I haven't done so well on the movement/exercising portion of this plan.
However, as soon as I finish this up I'm going to go for a nice walk (like I did last night. Yay!) with my husband. And I'll have started Day 1.

Thank you SpunkyDucky, and best wishes to all of you who joined this challenge!

July 13th, 2012-- This is my 24th day of the 100 Day Challenge! I am still at it-Hurray!
I keep plugging away- not seeing much in way of lost pounds yet. But I'm determined to keep at it. emoticon

Hi, I'm Marisa. I am a 35 year old mother of two. I just completed SP's 28 day bootcamp challenge with a friend. She recently found your challenge page and we decided to give this one a whirl too.
I have always struggled to just get moving and so partnering up and finding challenges like this is helping give myself some accountability, motivation and goals. Thanks for having me!

Hi Jo,
Simplicity is best. We aren't perfectionists around here. Tailor your goals to meet your needs. Don't be afraid of starting over, counting to 10, whatever works. The goal of the team is to help prioritize fitness...

Hi, I'm Jo. I've rejoined SP, and am in need of accountability and support. I've managed to lose successfully (and regain...successfully) on the SP program.

I need a simple challenge to get me into a habit of daily exercise, and this looked perfect. I'm starting small, though. Just a week of daily movement, then I'll review and extend once there (7 days from now, right?).

Hi all, I'm Ro and I'm starting my 100 day challenge tomorrow. I've been busy setting up shop today and cleaning house and I'm feeling ready to take on the challenge! Thought I'd take the time now to introduce myself just incase I need to call on you tomorrow for motivation. This is my first time at SP, fingers crossed! Good luck to you all with your own goals

I'm working towards making the healthiest choices I can when it comes to taking care of myself. I've put away the scale and will no longer weigh myself except when at the doctors office. I don't want to define who I am ever again by a number on the scale. I've done that for way too many years.
I do want to make exercise a top priority as I have a couple of health issues that exercise would improve. Also it would definately give me more energy.
I'll basically be doing a low fat plan because I feel it's the healthiest way to eat. I want to incorporate a lot more veggies and fruits into my food plan and a lot less red meats and oils as they don't agree with me very much. I don't consider this a diet since this will be the way I eat from now on.

I'm not really "new", lol. I think this is my 3rd attempt, once I miss I just leave the team! I am motivated more than normal this time, for 2 reasons: My daughter & vacay! We have our first family photos and family vacation June 15 to San Diego. I had orginally set a goal to be in onederland by her first bday(6/22), that's not going to happen! I am currently shooting for 25+lbs by then :). BIG GOAL I know, that's why I joined this challenge AGAIN!!

I'm back too. lol Yesterday, I did a tae kwon do class. Today, it's raining, so I think I'll do a sparkpeople video. I want to shoot for 60 min a day to make 1000 fitness minutes for February. It's a lofty goal, but I'll try. lol

Welcome to all of our newbies
Remember, if you miss a day it is not the end of the world. I have made it to 100 five separate times, I can't count the number of times that I have only made it to 30 or 9 or, yes even 3

Dust yourself off and start again
We are here for you!!!!

Hi I am new to this team and I joined this challenge because I had made a goal already to do my leslie sansone walk away the pounds dvds for a certain number of days in a row and 100 seems like a good goal so I am really glad to have found this team.

Hi, I'm Cheri and I joined this Challenge because my goal is to exercise everyday and this team I believe will keep me accountable to that. My goal is 100 consecutive days of exercise. Starting today.

What would you attempt, if you knew you could not fail?

Discipline is remembering what you want.

Hi! I am resetting myself, and am working on cleaning things up. My life, my diet, my exercise, etc.

I cleaned up the teams I was on, as well. In looking at each of them, long and hard, I found that I had joined teams that I "wanted" to be like, not necessarily the ones with goals and support that I would most benefit from.

This team sounds like one that would benefit me. I can set my own goal of exercise (my weak point), and I'm not committed to a set number of steps or minutes every day (thus leaving myself open to beating myself if it doesn't happen).

My goal is to exercise 5-7 days per week, a minimum of 15 minutes, and meet the team goals.

Hi I'm Princess and this team has inspired me to give myself 100 days of fitness. I'm 238 lbs and I would love to get into onderland. Plus I'll be a lot fitter and healthier which can only be a good thing. I also want to challenge myself to learn Spanish in those 100 days. I may start on the 20th of this month. LOL! I've got my work cut out for me. I know I can do it, I just have to keep the end picture in my head.

No Excuses needed or wanted, we can do this.

Nope - that is a myth. Many people do 30 minutes, but the goal is to come up with something that is reasonable and obtainable for you.

Hi Everyone,
My name is Amanda and I'm still pretty new to Spark. I haven't been doing so great in the exercise department and I think this will really help me. I've never been so busy I can't fit in even a 30 minute walk around the neighborhood. I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Hello all, my friend KKSteigerwald has joined this team and as I have been getting rather lax lately and need a new focus to get through the rest of this year, this team seems just what I need.
Looking forward to chatting with you.

Hi! I'm Kathy and I'm glad that I found this team! I just started a 100-day challenge for myself yesterday, and I know I'm going to need some support to get through it so i joined this group. I'm very good at doing well with my goals for a few days or a few weeks, but then I always cave in for some reason. I'm doing this to prove to myself that I can do it and that i can meet my goals. Looking forward to getting to know you!

My name is Michelle and I live in Kentucky. I am joining this challange so I won't do what I usually do; hit my goal weight before some event (usually my annual trip to Vegas) and then coast until the holidays, or spring, or some other moment where I say "how did this weight get back here?".

My trip is in October so, this challenge will be perfect for me (100 days will be November 15th). As long as I stick to this goal, I'll be heading into the holidays with a great new habit (one I"m hoping/planning to keep going) and hopefully, no new pounds!.

Hi! Emily here from beautiful Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

I kind of subconsciously joined this challenge on Monday, and finished day 4 yesterday. I am just trying to kick thing up a notch and shake up my body as it has gotten used to my normal 3-4 day a week running routine. So, I'm back at the gym doing some training, and am going to add some yoga back, as well as some cross-training cardio on the days I'm not running or at the gym.

I look forward to getting to know everyone here! Happy Friday!!

Emily

Slow like slug, but I'll make it to the finish line!
