I just got one, too. So far, I like it. I commute by bike, so I'm sad that motion won't count. (For that, I use yet another piece of technology.)

keep it from getting wet even with excessive sweat. I wear mine attached to my bra with no issues, however if you are carrying something up the stairs and it blocks the sensor you might loose a flight of stairs count

Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. Don't keep it under too many layers of clothing. I had 5 layers on one day because I was really cold and Fitbit only registered about 2/3 of my steps!
