Your question on manually entering calories, is this how to use the food tracker or setting the goal?

My food plan is "personalized" and this is what the help says:

"Uses your past activity history to estimate your calorie burn for the day and increases or decreases if you're more or less active then usual."

So, the Food Plan (personalized) takes:
1) your daily calorie goal
2) subtracts food calories as your enter them
3) adjusts calorie burn based on your activity during the day compared to "usual"

I have the old Ultra model and only synch at breakfast. So, I don't benefit from the activity adjustment, but thanks to the SP synch, I do benefit from the calories eaten during the day.

I still have a question about what "today I can still eat xxx calories." Also I used timer to record activity, but could figure way to manually enter calories

Welcome! I love my FB. I've found it's a great motivator.

Welcome from Greenville SC

I have had mine for over a year and love it

Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. The time spent riding the bus each day? That's a pair of socks over a month. Waiting in line? Mittens. Watching TV? Buckets of wasted time that could be an exquisite lace shawl. ~Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much

Well, I have had the fitbit 1 for about two wks now. I lost 2.5 lbs. using it! There are still thing like the food plan estimate I don't understand about it. I am 6 ft 3 inches and weight 245 right now. I am walking 10 k most days and using portion control to reduce my weight. Like using fb and it is always with me.
