Hello all,

I have heard some good things about the fitbit so I've decided to order one. It will be my Mother's Day gift from my husband of 47 years. Hopefully it will help me stay motivated to move!

Welcome to our team!
Congratulations on quitting smoking! I have been an ex-smoker for over seven years. Yes, I, too, gained weight after quitting but you can lose that weight and more if you set your mind to it!

Welcome! emoticon The fitbit is the best motivator I have found so far! I have discovered (or admitted) I am very lazy. It keeps me moving. Congratulations on the quiting the cigs. One of the hardest things I have ever done. emoticon

emoticon to all the quitters!! emoticon It has been 10 years (6 months & 5 days!) for me- but who's counting!
I had alot of health problems and feel 100% better. Also gained about 30 pounds- took it off in 2007, and then unfortunately gained it back! But am not giving up on getting it back off!

Welcome! The FitBit One is a fantastic motivator.

emoticon you'll enjoy your fitbit one. I quite smoking almost 2 years ago as well. Good for you and all of us who did it. Yes, I gained about 30 as well. But thank goodness I've lost all the weight I gained from quite smoking. You can do it too. Good luck on your health journey.

Greetings all!

I just recently gifted myself with a Fitbit One :)

I quit smoking a little over a year and a half ago, and gained 30 pounds since then. I'm a 41 yo single mum.

I'm excited about using the Fitbit, to get a more accurate idea of my activity and calorie expenditure. I'm trying to at least walk every day, and fit in actual workouts when time permits.

Great to be here!
