sounds like the sync function needs to be corrected between Fitbit and SP.

Make sure you've synced on SP as well:

Yes, with the accounts linked, they sync by themselves. Pam

However, you may not ever have to hit a sync button anywhere. As soon as I add a food to SP, it appears in my FB food log. The only real delay I've seen is in the step count/activity sync from FB to SP, but that will eventually sync if you give it enough time.

Once you set up both websites to activate syncing (others gave you the instructions), understand that Fitbit sends fitness stats to the SP tracker. SP sends Nutrition stats to Fitbit.

So you kinda have to hit the "sync" on both websites to get them updated with the most recent information. The "sync" for SP is on the Fitness Tracker. This receives Fitbit fitness data and also sends SP food tracker to FB.

Try this:

1. Go to fitbit.com and click your name at the top right, then choose "Account Settings" in the drop-down box.
2. In the menu on the left, choose "Applications."
3. Make sure SparkPeople has both read and write access to FitBit.

Hope this helps!

Ok. I don't have that option. Is there a spark people connect I have to do first.

Thanks for all the replies. This is great, only one problem though. I can't find the sync on spark people. I looked on the start page and the food page. Am I missing something?
Thanks again

When you log it on Sparkpeople, it goes to fitbit. I always have to go to fitbit.com and make sure it reads right because if I delete something on spark, it won't change on fitbit.

I log the food on spark too. If I delete something, then I need to go to fitbit and delete it there too. If I don't change anything it usually goes over to the fitbit site correctly. Then i can see the calories differencial. It seems pretty accurate. My calories in and out are pretty close and my weight stays pretty stable. Pam

I just track all my food in SP and let it sync over to FB. The only problem I run into is that, if I change something on SP I can't change the amount on FB.

I track my food on Sparkpeople and use the sync choice at the lower part of the Spark People page. I then double check the intake on FitBit.com because if I change something it appears twice.

not really. they both are not connected. The only thing that syncs over is the calories when you log your food into SP but when they get to FB, FB looks at it as calories burned and there numbers for your intake are different than on SP

so if you log in say 1500 on SP, FB might say that after your activity for the day you should have only had 1350 and you are 150 calories over for that day

Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. The time spent riding the bus each day? That's a pair of socks over a month. Waiting in line? Mittens. Watching TV? Buckets of wasted time that could be an exquisite lace shawl. ~Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much
