Oh yes. My fitbit definitely pushes me to exercise more! Moving more is good, and so is the extra motivation the bit gives you. I just have to be careful not to let the enthusiasm the fitbit inspires overwhelm my sense of reason!. I worked out so much the first week I got my fitbit that I injured myself! I ended up with a terrible case of shin splints. I have heard other people complaining about injured knees as well from climbing stairs. Nothing destroys your momentum faster than an injury!

I've had mine for 2 weeks and I'm a new "house circler" .... if it is cold outside I walk in a big circle inside the house and around the kitchen table ...over and over over ...... LOL have a good time with your new friend !!

welcome. I am one who now goes out of my way to get extra steps in. Parking further away in the parking lot then going up every aisle in the store whether I need something there or not. Those steps really rack up that way

Hi everyone! I am not in the group and so excited to be an owner of the fitbit! I love mine, but I wish that I had one that woke me up with the silent alarm. But, I feel great that I am getting out there and being more active!
Is it common for people to go out of their way to get more steps? I did my first day! I was walking around the house finding more chores to do, just to add steps and calories burned!
