Hi everyone! I am LR. I am new to spark people and just rediscovered my fitbit. I'm completely at the beginning right now. I'm unhealthy, unfit and tired. But I'm on day two with spark people and I'm starting to feel better already. I've eliminated dairy, grains & sugar and after two days its better, although the withdrawal headache is bad today. But I'm getting on my treadmill and ready to get my life back. I have 72 pounds to lose. Her I go! Go team fitbit!

Hi
Am new to Fitbit. Wanted something to motivate me to be more active. Interested in the sleep stats too. Who knew I walk 150 steps on average every night, just by visiting the bathroom! A drawback from being overweight and over 60!!

Hi! I am Shannon and I just got my Fitbit this evening! Super excited as I have been waiting to get one. I think I have everything linked up between tablet, phone and tracker. Letting it charge some more before I put it on to sleep. Anxious to see how well the silent alarm. Works for me. Loud alarm clocks don't always work LOL

Hi FitBit team. I joined the team a few days ago after finding it while Spark surfing. I love that I can link my Zip to my Spark fitness points. I'm also linked to Every Move app and Walgreens healthy choices for rewards points. I try to get 10K steps in most days before 10:00 a.m.

Hi, my name is DeeDee. I've had my Fitbit since July and really enjoy seeing all the steps pile up. I really have to work hard to get the steps in now that it's dark in the morning and getting darker earlier at night. My workouts will have to be right after school ends and kids are picked up.

Hi, I'm Wayne. I've had my fitbit flex for about 3 weeks now and love it!! Finally decided to do something to get over this hump and loose some weight. I've be over 300 pounds for at least 20 years. It's time to get this off. My ultimate long term goal is to get down to around 180-190. I know that will take at least a couple of years, but you ain't gonna lose if you don't get started!! Hired a personal trainer to get me started. She introduced me to SparkPeople. Glad to be here.

Hi. My name is Cassie, and I'm 29, living in Colorado. I got my Fitbit Flex last night as an early birthday present. I'm so excited for the extra motivation. To say I've been very inconsistent with my exercise would be an understatement! This team looks very active so I'm looking forward to all of the support!

Hi Everyone!

I've been using my fitbit since the new year ... been above 10,000 for all but 5 days (all due to illness in myself or my kids).
Although I feel great, I actually gained a couple of pounds ... some of it muscle I hope - hah!
Still - I realize I need to keep up the steps and start tracking my food again ...

I love that this forum is so active so I can keep up the steps as I restart tracking.

Hi, everyone! I've been using SP for many years and find it really useful to keep my weight in control. I just got the Aria scale yesterday and love it. I couldn't sync it through my desktop even though I put it right next to the wireless router. I finally tried doing it with my iPhone and it worked great! I was very surprised to see that food I track on SP automatically transfers over to my Fitbit account. Another new toy!

Hello!
I just got my Fitbit One last week and started using it on Friday. Seeing the results has been interesting. I love the sleep feature. Still trying to figure out if I should have it set for the default or for "more sensitive to motion." I'll set some goals for myself after completing a week of use.

Hi! I'm Susan! I just got my FitBit on Sunday. So far, I love it, but I wish it were water proof. I like to swim and I don't trust my judgement on manual entries. I'm worried that I'll either over or underestimate what I've done! :)

Hi everybody!

I've had my Fitbit Zip for a while now and try to use it everyday.

At home our Zips are affectionally known as FitBitTit (I'm sure you can guess where we clip them). lol

Looking forward to upping my step goal - I currently have it set to 6,000 a day and hope to increase it to 10,000 in the next week or two.

Heya everyone! I'm LJ, and I have been rocking my FitBit for a little over two weeks, and I am in love with the sleep tracking function!

Also, I am very impressed that my FitBit survived a dive into a very cold lake (i.e. 10 degree C) and it is working swimmingly! So I am no longer affraid to take it into the pool!

Hi, I'm Kathie. I have been on (and off) SP for a while. I got my Fitbit in July and just came back to SP yesterday and was so pleased to find that I could sync it.

I set my goal at 12,000 but try to get over 17,000. I wonder if I should raise my goal. With winter coming I worry about being able to keep up this pace. We get a lot of ice & snow here.

Hi Team,
My name is Mo. I have been on Spark for 7+ years, but just got my fitbit this spring. My goal is 13K steps a day, but lately I've been trying to increase tthat because my son has a fitbit and gets 16K a day, and I'd like to keep up with him!

My fitbit user link is: https://www.fitbit.com/user/2DF9D7
and I welcome new friends. I especially love folks who step a little more than me, so I have more ppl in front of me to try to catch, but I am happy to become friends with those who want to catch me too.

I started a new spark team called 100 days of food sobriety and we are looking for new members as well.

Hope to catch up on the boards soon,
Mo

Hi, my name is Regina. I was given my fitbit by a friend who 'upgraded' to one of those fancy wrist watches that syncs with his phone and email...etc.
I had no idea how clueless I was about my activity until I began trotting around with this thing. Now, I don't like going a day without it.
I am 49 years old, engaged to be married in May. I am mother to two grown boys and the cutest dog EVAH! named Razzle. I live in Upstate NY. I love the Mets, Auburn University FB, knitting, gaming, writing, playing the guitar. I have a very strong faith that keeps me sane.
I look forward to getting to know the group better!

Hello Everyone! I just got a fitbit zip on Monday. I'm hoping it will motivate me to walk more. I have logged about 5,000 steps per day since I got it. I figured I would have walked less than that since I have a job where I am glued to a cubicle.

I have linked it to my spark people account, but I'm not sure how accurate the calories burned is.

Hello Team! I am a Spark veteran, but just got my Fitbit Flex last night. I am so excited to track my steps and get moving more! I am anxious to learn all about my new FitBit. I have not linked the two accounts just yet as I have seen the threads with all of the problems, I may venture in to linking them someday, but not just yet. Good Luck Team!

Just keep swimming! -Dori

Hello my name is Elizabeth and I use the Fitbit one. I love it. I got it about a year ago and use it everyday. I was so glad to receive mail from group leader as soon as I linked it up. Once figuring out how to use the forum I signed up. I am sure I will enjoy this group very much.

Hi! I just learned I could sync my fitbit with Spark. Luv, luv my fitbit, however, I have the flex and have issues with the charger. Anyone else have this issue?

I'm Ruth and I live in NYC. I love Jazz!

Hi! My name is Courtney and I got my FitBit Flex last week for my birthday! I had given one to my dad for his birthday and he loves it so he got me one too!
I really like how I can link my nutrition from SparkPeople since I had a lot of groupings stored of recipes that I consistently make. That makes it so much easier to track food! My daily goal is 30 active minutes and I found that yesterday I walked up 9 flights of stairs to my apartment instead of taking the elevator just to make sure I reached that goal!!!

Hello,

My name is Sharlene and I have had my fitbit flex since May! I just recently came back to Spark people and that's when I realized I could connect my fitbit to my profile. How convenient is that!! I have a long road ahead of me but I did just recently bump my fitbit daily goal from 5000 steps/day to 7500 steps/day which is a big deal for me. So off I go.

Hi I'm Cheyana I got my Fitbit One in May and I absolutely love it! I didn't realize there was a group here for Fitbit users! Good luck to everyone on your daily goals! :-)

Have you pushed yourself that 1 extra degree today?

Hi, I'm Allison and my family just got me my fitbit yesterday for my birthday. I'm looking forward to using this new tool to help me with tracking my movement and keeping me more aware of it. I've been on Sparkpeople for about a year. I've lost some weight and have maintained keeping that off. Trying to lose slowly but surely!
