Hi, I'm Wyndy. I'm 68 with 150 pounds to lose. I had more but lost 50 when I was a member awhile back. I had the old SP tracker, now I have a flex. Just received it, and it was so easy to connect, just hit the connect! Amazing.

I am 68 and have used the Fitbit for over a year. My son was concerned I wasn't getting enough walking in because of the many disease process I have. Love it. Always work for 5000 steps. Since joining spark it's not counting here only on the device. I've synced it. Still trying to get it working.

Hi I am Lunadragon, aka Deborah,
I have been on SP a while, just back after falling off the wagon for a long time, during which time I got my fitbit flex (now on my 2nd one) going on year 4 as of November with Fitbit. I work at home, a mom of grown kids out of the nest, a grandmom, a wife. Back issues keep me from heavy duty exercise but Fitbit has been a lifesaver with pushing me to walk. I try to aim for 5K every day.

Good morning! I'm Lisa and I rejoined Sparkpeople several days ago. I have a Fitbit Charge 2. I have a gym membership and do small group training with some additional cardio and weight training but I like the fitbit because it keeps me moving during the daytime.

I'm looking forward to reading about everyone's successes!

Hello Everyone. I live near Tucson, AZ - almost 11 years now. I am a long time Spark People user (with long periods of non use). Trying to be more consistent this time. So far I have a 3 day streak for signing in. I have the fitbit one. I was surprised to find (and successfully) sync it to SP. I will soon be starting my 2nd year of 3 in an online gradschool program for a MA. Last semester was a brutal assignment load plus a heavy load at my "real job". Healthy eating and exercise rarely made the list.

Here's to a new year, a new start, better habits and better time management.

Hello Everyone.. I am in Southwest Virginia and I have the FitBit charge 2 I am new to sparks people. I have a weird work schedule as I am either second shift for two nights then third shift for two nights. Been trying to get back in shape and lose some weight. I've had my FitBit since Dec 2016 and I love it. Lets keep those steps going.

Hi! I've been on Spark People for a long time, but I took a bit of a break for a while due to some complicated real-life stuff. But I'm back, and am trying to keep current with everything. I have a Fitbit Charge HR, and I love this thing. It's been really helpful for a number of reasons, but apparently I don't swing my arms enough when I walk so I'm working on that. I live in Atlanta, GA, and am working on improving my fitness and nutrition. Hello to everyone!

Hi Everyone,
I have been using Spark for some time now, but haven't managed to get to this "Fitbit" site. I have a Fitbit Charge HR. I'm pretty happy with it, but it doesn't always seem to sync with my Spark acct. I am a retired teacher. I have been traveling since retiring. I am having quite a bit of trouble dropping my weight. I am 30# shy of my goal. I love to do the Fitbit Challenges. I like the Spark app and appreciate all of the support from others. I find if I participate in supporting others that I manage to make better choices myself. Looking forward to getting back on track.

Hi again, I signed-up for this team when Sparkpeople pedometer was not longer tracking and had to buy Fitbit . Unfortunately now the Fitbit is not syncing with Sparkpeople since 7/4. I had been tracking my steps myself, hope this problem is solved. Sparkpeople has been very good to me, allowing me to be on top of my goals, intentions, resolutions for my health and exercise.

Hi everyone, new to Spark here (day 23). I had an injury to my feet in 2008 (they were the victim of a 500 lb pallet dropping on them) and ever since, I just kind of let myself go. I used to be a healthy, active person but I lost interest in taking care of myself for a while. After I weighed myself recently and saw myself in a picture, I realized I needed to make some changes. So here I am! I've lost 8 lbs (with the help of my walking partner/furbaby, Jake) since I started and I'm feeling really good about this new journey! Feel free to add me as a friend. We can all use a little motivation now and then :)

Hi, I have a Fitbit Charge 2! I got it the end of January! I am from Colorado! Just started back on Sparkpeople July 18th. Was doing really well on steps until the 26th when I put my back out. Flat on the floor for 2 days. Slowly getting better and was able to get my 10,000 steps yesterday on flat surfaces. Today went for a walk outside. It is slower than before but I will get better and keep on going! Looking forward to helping with the steps for the team! emoticon

Hello from Hawaii (The Big Island)! I've had my FitBit ChargeHR for almost a year and a half now. I tend to get more steps in on weekdays and not very many on the weekends. But, I'm not just looking for motivation to get the steps in on the weekends. I'm also looking and hoping to find the motivation I need to do more than just getting my steps in.

I use to be into weightlifting a few years ago and I loved it! When my job started to pick up, I didn't have time for the gym anymore. I had bought some equipment to workout at home, but by the time I get done making dinner and cleaning up after working all day, I'm so wiped out.I work as a housecleaner. Besides not having the motivation and energy to exercise after work, I also tend to eat very little during the work day, and then eat everything at night and on the weekends. I need help :(

Greetings from South Dakota! I received a FB One for Christmas 2012 and I've worn it everyday since. The first couple of years I was consistent and diligent with getting a minimum of 10,000 steps a day. These last couple of years I completely fell off the wagon. Though I still wear my FB I didn't pay much attention to how many steps I got in during the day and the worst part was, I didn't care either. I'm back and hoping to find that motivated person I was a few years ago.

WOW! I really regret that workout

Hi everyone!

My name is Robin, I've had a fitbit for at least four years, in fact, this is my second device! I wore the first one out LOL. I have a Fitbit One. I find tracking my steps is very motivating for me and I'm excited to be a part of this team.

Hi Josie! We've been on BLC teams together before. Looking forward to getting to know some new people also.

Good morning! emoticon

I'm Josie.
Yesterday was my first full day of using the FitBit.

I'm happy to be here.

FitBit is one of the choices I have made to stop rationalizing my bad choices. How can I lie to myself when the data is right here staring me in the face?

I am concerned that the step count isn't quite right on my Flex 2. Is anyone else having trouble with step counts being inaacurate?

At any rate, here I am. I look forward to meeting you.

Hi everyone. I'm Angela and I'm a second year medical student on the east coast. I've been an on/off user of Spark People and similar sites over the past few years, but since starting medical school, I've found keeping healthy is something I've been struggling with a lot, and I put on quite a bit of weight. I'm looking to regain my activity level and fitness, as well as lose weight, so that I can maintain a healthy lifestyle throughout graduate school into my professional career.

Greetings from Tennessee. I'm Mary. Been an on again/off again SparkPeople person for several years now. Just got back "on" after a 2 year hiatus. Hey gang, I got fat somehow! Moving, retiring, other stressors. Now it is time to get back in shape.

I play pickleball about 8 to 10 hours per week, but that is not enough exercise to offset the food and beverages I've been enjoying since retirement. So, I've once again joined Spark People - this time with my FitBit tracker to keep me honest.

Looking forward to sharing the journey with other FitBit users on this Forum.

Be Inspired - and inspire others.

Hello everyone! I've been an on again off again user of spark people and my fit bit for far too long! I've had issues with consistency, but have still managed to lose 60 pounds in 2 years. I recently found out I am a type II diabetic and really want to focus on getting my carb intake and exercise under control. My fitbit is what sparked my weight loss and I know with support and encouragement from my spark friends, I will reach all my goals!!

Have a blessed day!

I don't know if I did this correctly for introducing myself. I clicked the reply button? Looking at the screen here it says I'm replying to Holly. 😜

I've had my Fitbit since February....love it!! I had one knee replaced last October and the other one thus April. I'm now walking a mile and a half! I had done very well with SparkPeople several years ago and fell off the wagon and am climbing back on! 🤗

Hi there! My name is Holly and I have had my Fitbit Flex since December 25, 2014. I have worn it pretty much everyday since then. I have just decided to link Fitbit and SparkPeople together, and am attempting to track most of my food most days. I have struggled for a long time and have a long way to go before my goal, but meeting my Fitbit goals helps keep me focused.

Hello, my name is Sandy, I have the Fit Bit Blaze. I love it, I have had step counters in the past that were horrible and i usually ended up breaking them. I have had my Blaze since October 2016 and have lost 13 pounds since I have started using it.

I will be 58 on July 19, I have been married to my best friend Jesse since August 6, 1982. We have a beautiful daughter, Jessica, 30 years old engaged to Alec, hoping to have a wedding date soon.

We have a yellow/white lab named Jake, he will be 9 on 9/11/2017. He is a sweetie. I enjoy exercising, swimming, reading, baking and spending time with my family. I work at a university and have earned both my Bachelor's degree and Master's degree since my employment in 1998. I look forward to hearing all about everyone's successes with their Fit Bit.

Hello Sparkers! My name is Tammy and I am new. I am using Fitbit daily since June 29th and can't want to see how much progress I will make. I was introduced to Fitbit by a coworker who has lost a lot of weight.

Hello, I am Yvonne and I am looking to lose 100+ pounds. As I am typing this I don't think that I have ever said that boldly and as upfront as that. It feels weird. I am a little ashamed and yet empowered at the same time...sorry an introduction probably isn't the best place for an epiphany LOL.

Hi, I am Lisa -- I turned 50 last week. I have lost 35 pounds since last August and am hoping for another 30 by December 31, 2017.

I love my Fitbit - I am PROBABLY in the minority - I have a Fitbit One.

I am married with three children and love to find ways to make meals healthier.

I am waiting for a version of the Fitbit One that is waterproof and tracks heart rate! Dare to dream....everyone wants one on their wrist!

Hi, I am Kim. I am almost 50 and decided that I want to be healthier. I was diagnosed 5 years ago as a type 2 diabetic. I've been in denial since then. On June 7, 2017, I decided that I needed to own my diagnosis and eat like a diabetic. I check my blood sugars 4x a day. I still have times where I want to go back to the old way, but I keep moving forward!

Hi, I'm Diane - 64 yr old retiree. I'm a wife, mom and grandma (10 grandkids) and my husband and I spend lots of time with our family. Recently I got a Charger 2 to help me get fit. emoticon

It synced ok with SP, but I really don't understand how it works on SP.

Fitbit enters "All Day Acty" for minutes and calories burned. But what if I enter in my own minutes on a treadmill and get calories burned too - are these the same calories burned as what the fitbit entered?

I don't want to over count my caloires burned. Not sure if I've made sense, but if I have and someone could help me understand I'd like my fitbit much better. Thanks

Diane

Hello I'm Wendy from PA and I now have my first fitbit, the Charge HR. I'm hoping this helps me to stay motivated. I seem to workout more when I can see the numbers.

Hi. I'm Heather. I'm in California. I just upgraded my old Fitbit Charge HR to a Fitbit Blaze. I didn't realize how much I relied on Fitbit to keep me active some days. Anyway, I'm glad to be part of this group.

Hi, I have had fitbit for a long time now but I need to challenge myself. I am from Iowa, not new to Sparkpeople but lets pretend I am new as I am coming back and using it daily or trying to.
I hope I motivate myself to move more and count calories again.

Hello from Charlotte, NC! My name is Jocelyn (friends call me Joc). I am new to the team, but definitely not new to SparkPeople. Life, family, work took over and I left for a few years, but I realized I am no good to life, family and work if I don't take care of me! My husband & I challenge one another with our Fitbits but I need to "step" it up. Great to be here!

Hi, everyone! My (nick)name is Bob and I am working on getting back down to a healthy weight after years of yo-yoing but never quite getting to where I need to be. Right now, I am trying to up my step count and be accountable everyday with my eating. My husband and I just got back from our honeymoon though and I gained 8 pounds in the 10 days we were gone! (The food was SO AMAZING, though!)

Right now I am really looking for some accountability buddies. I completed my first marathon earlier this month and I would love to get to know some fellow distance-athletes who can help me stay motivated with my training for an upcoming half marathon in January and hopefully my next full marathon in March.

I look forward to getting to know you all and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your group!

I am always looking to connect with people and make new friends. Feel free to stay in touch at any time!

Hi!

I have had a Fitbit for many years but last year I got an Alta for Christmas and I love it. Just finally got it synced to Spark People. I love that I can switch the bands out. I had a Fitbit One for years and always wore it on my bra. But I like that I can wear my Alta like a watch band. This group popped up when I synced my Fitbit Alta. So, I joined.

Just bought an Alta Fitbit HR yesterday and am enjoying it so far. I had a partial knee replacement (one joint and the knee cap) in my right leg in August last year and it has been tough getting back into shape. I had not been very active since having an arthroscopic knee surgery in June 2014, which was not really successful (they discovered damage due to moderate Osteoarthritis during the surgery). I gained back the entire 50 pounds, plus a few extra, that I had lost using Sparkpeople back in 2008. Unfortunately, no longer working as a retail manager and not being able to walk long distances anymore contributed to my weight gain over the last several years, but now I need to do whatever it takes to get those pounds off once again.

So ..... here is to motivation and success!!!!!
