WW is coming to an end of me, so I've been using fB and SP to track, and seem to be doing better by watching my calories in, vs calories burned. I'm also paying attention to food better, and have actually been surprised by some of the vitamins and minerals.
This will also make maintaining my weight easier, once I get the other 25-30 pounds off.

Sending out a Texas hello to everyone I just got my fitbit on thursday and friday I started day one of stage 1 of the step diet. I am looking forward to some friendly competitions to help motivate to stay with the program
My Fitbit arrived yesterday and I set it up this morning. Anxious to see what activity it records. I live in Southwest Virginia. An old-timer on SP, but newbie to Fitbit. Any advice on how to use these two sites together?
Hi, I'm Cathi. Been on SP for a few months and I love the calorie tracking here. Had the Fitbit for a couple of weeks. I created foods on FB that are Carb, Fat, Protein that have the value of one and copy my SP values to FB at the end of the day.
I'm looking for FB friends since "competing" against my husband is disheartening, since he does more sitting that I do moving.
I'm also on WW. I have 12 pounds til goal (and I've been there for over a year. I rejoined last week and decided this WILL be the last 19 week session that I pay for, so that means that I will take these last 12 or more pounds off.
Married, 2 kids, work full time. Live in the SF Bay Area.
Hi Linda, I'm a Linda too. I ordered my fitbit in September (09) and just received in on Tuesday of this week. I'm still getting used to it (I was in the sleep mode for most of the first day, duh!).
I'm not sure about logging my food in two different websites. Right now I'm just doing it in Sparkpeople. It's what I'm used to and is awesome!
I hope you don't have to wait too long for you fitbit. I have a lot of friends that are interested in ordering one so I emailed the company and asked how long the wait was. They responded that an order placed 2 days ago (Wednesday) would be filled by mid-February.
Hi Everyone, I live in Northern Virginia and have been with SP since September 2009 working on toward a healthier lifestyle.
Have been doing research on the BodyBugg, the GoWearFit and then the FitBit. Sounds like the FitBit does the same thing as the GoWearFit for a lot less money. I have ordered mine and can't wait to get it. I wanted something to track my sleep too because a lot of times I don't sleep real well.
Looking foward to getting to know all the team members here.

Hi everyone, I'm Teresa and have also been on SP off and on for a couple of years. It has been mostly off since I had jaw surgery last August. Before that I was doing really well, working out consistently and eating mostly clean, but my surgery wasn't successful and I'm still not able to eat normal foods. I'm afraid I used that as an excuse to eat junk and be lazy and gained back much of what I had lost. I ordered my fitbit a few weeks ago and can't wait until it arrives. I'm going to focus on cleaning up my diet this week and start back with weights/cardio next week. I could use some help with accountability and hope we can all help each other.

Hi there My name is Holly and I have been a member of SparkPeople for a few months although this is the first board that I have posted on. I started with FB in October when I ordered a FB and have found it helpful to keep track of my activities and calories eaten per day. I am looking to lose about 10-20lbs if possible and really need accountability on my eating habits. I have no problems in the exercise department and will typically exercise 45min- 1hr 45min per day. I enjoy cardio (Zumba especially!), the eliptical machine and treadmill and have recently been adding a short (15min) weight session to most workouts. I look forward to getting to know you and building a support network!

I got my 'bit 12/25. I'm in D/FW texas and hope I will get healthy. I am 5'11' and 165 lbs. Definitely not out of the unhealthy but I am a stroke survivor and I want to be healthy for me and my 3 kids. I want to be accountable - can you help me??

Hello everyone! I'm actually brand new on SparkPeople (joined last Friday) and have joined this site because of my 'Bit and at the recommendation of many people on that site. I'm hoping that I love this site as much as I love my 'Bit and that it really helps me get motivated.
Hi everyone, I have also been on SP for about two years...on and off. I find when I get into it and really track my meals and exercise, I do really well. Unfortunately, I am in the off stage right now. I am hoping when I get my FitBit i will get back on track.

Just wanted to do a quick welcome and introduce myself. I'm Amanda - I live outside Philly. I've been on and off Sparkpeople for a long time, but I am a big believer that it works for me when I commit to it.
Been struggling last few weeks to be motivated to get active as my local gym closed and the next closest one is a bit more expensive and a further drive. I have to find something to get me through the cold winter around here.
Anyway, looking forward to getting the fitbit so I can hopefully figure out how many calories I'm actually burning a day, and/or using it become motivated to be more active.
