Regarding getting nutrition facts for your homecooked and home-canned foods, use our sister site (also free, use your same login) SparkRecipes.com. There you can enter any recipe you make (canned, baked, whatever) and it'll spit out your per-serving nutrition facts, which you can then use here on SparkPeople's food tracker. Voila! Hellos all around! I just joined SP to keep track of what I'm eating and doing for physical activity. I've gotten really busy and stressed out lately, and I wanted to make sure I'm taking care of myself overall.
In our urban household we have a large garden and raise chickens, meat rabbits and bees. I thought this would be a good group to join, in part to help get nutritional information for things like kale from my garden, homemade chicken stock or home canned tomatoes. So any tips would be very helpful, thanks! Other than that my armpits are hairy, I try to get my exercise outdoors and you won't find me buying lean cuisines.
