My son was born with bilateral hypoplastic kidneys and as a result was diagnosed with ESRD at birth. He had a kidney transplant at 11-months old; my husband was his donor. He is the major motivation right now for me...as we watch other families that have been in our situation struggle with organ rejection, I'm realizing that there could come a time when Gavin needs ME to step up and be his donor. I want to be fit so that he will NEVER have to go back to a life on dialysis. I really look forward to getting to know everyone!
