I hadn't joined the Kidney Foundation, but I just did. I'm trying to watch what he eats as we found that if he doesn't get enough sodium his potassium levels start raising. Thanks for the suggestions. Hope you get better soon! We just got over what was probably the swine flu here, and he happened to be the only one not to come down with ANY symptoms (thank heavens)!

Oh my goodness - I pray that God holds you tight through all of this.

Question: have you joined the National Kidney Foundation? If not, I am going to encourage you to do this.

Also, check out the diet for people on dialysis - it may help prevent the need for a transplant. I am NOT a doctor just a patient with Kidney Disease myself {stage 3}.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do.

I am ill and am taking a few days off of Spark, but I check my messages daily.

God Bless you!

I had 4, he had 2, we got married and I got pregnant that day or the day after with twins. Thought that would be enough to keep me going crazy, but at 29 weeks gestation they saw twin b's kidney looked huge and wrong. Was diagnosed as being full of cysts. At birth was found to have one kidney unfunctionable due to cysts, the other kidney had one cyst and they almost put him on dialysis at that time. Confirmed at one year. He's in stage 3 kidney disease at not yet 18 months (was 4). They are hoping to keep him from needing a transplant until he is in his 30's, but say he will need one eventually unless something to replace kidneys other then transplant is come up with before he needs it.
