Way to go it is snowing so probably will only do my yoga tonight.
I think the person we are buying the house from is leaving her stationary bike and treadmill for us. YEAH so when it is cold (like tomorrow night when I get home from work it will be in the low 20's maybe high teen's) then I can work out inside! LOL.

I got 50 min on the treadmill and my old Ab routine, but tried the ball. I need a bigger ball. The small one is hard to catch.

I know a few years ago I made some progress, but I had to tract and stay in range and did ab routine about daily. Also, plenty of cardio. I just can't get myself to tract any more.

Hi Lora, welcome to the team. The belly fat is the hardest to get rid of, I know.
Good luck on moving. That is a job in itself. Lots of bending and stretching!! emoticon Well, okay, maybe not back bending LOL, but you'll get a workout. mine is the lower abs that frustrate me.
Take care.

Hi
My name is Lora and I am prior military. I have been up and down and now I am about 8-10 pounds from my goal but I am 45 so the belly is what is killing me! I have a disintegrating spine so finding the right workouts and team may be a little tricky.
I need help and motivation. I live in upstate NY so we are getting snow now and it makes it hard for me to want to get out and walk, with the slush and ice.
My boyfriend and I will be hopefully moving into a house in about 2 to 3 weeks so that will help shape me up some I hope!
Can’t wait to get to know everyone and get into better shape.

Hi, I'd like to join this team. My stomach is my problem area, and I really, really want to get it down. I am 54, and postmenopausal and all that comes with that -insomnia, belly fat, etc.

When I catch myself walking by a mirror in a department store, I can't believe that is me! I tell myself-how did this happen..

I had dropped off sparkpeople for awhile, but I'm ready to jump back in.

Ab work that involves moving your legs, such as bicycle crunches or flutter kicks, are really good for tightening your lower abs. That way, when the cardio reduces the fat, a tiny tummy will reveal itself!

I just joined. The name caught my attention because I thoroughly agree!!! I can't believe how big my lower abdomen is after losing weight so I'm trying to lose a little more but pre-menopause when I lost weight a lot more came off the stomach. Never had a flat stomach but this is very frustrating!

I've had a gym trainer once a week for almost a year now. She said just doing crunches won't do it. The crunches and other exercises that work on the stomach (has me doing modified planks and some other exercises on the ball) will certainly tighten the stomach muscles and should get rid of some of that darn fat. Definitely cardio and have heard that a lot. I'll have to ask the trainer again about exercises. Unfortunately it seems if I gain any weight I can tell in my waist and stomach!!! I'm worried about the visceral fat. Hopefully if I can get myself going again I can do a little bit more to get this tummy down at least a little bit more!!!

No, mostly inches. I have a treadmill. I can pinch more inches now than I did before when I was pretty active exercising.
I'm 4'8" and weigh about 106. This weight makes me feel heavy., but would love to weigh 98. I know this doesn't sound like much weight, 106, but at 4'8".....ugh! feel fat.
It's hard to get rid of the rolls. haha

In order to flatten the stomach, you must get rid of the layer of fat. That means cardio. Walking would help. Do you have much weight to lose?

I don't have a program. I just do crunches and reverse crunches on my own. Sometimes I do get a pain on the left side by the upper rib so i have to watch the obliques. Doesn't hurt all the time though.

Hi, I'm Courti and need motivation to keep exercising. I'm married and retired living in Florida. We don't have any kids.

My problem in my lower stomach. Just can't seem to make any headway. Where do I find the challenge?

I was a member her a while back but didn't do anything. Figured I'd give it another go.
