I was the same way. I know what I needed to do to lose the weight. I just had a hard time finding the motivation to do it.
I found being held accountable really helps me stay on track. I started blogging on here as well. Joining weight watchers has really helped me stay on track as well. I can ignore the scale at home, but not theres. There it is written down how much I weigh and how much I lose or don't lose. That has really helped me watch what goes into my mouth.
Good luck and I hope that time off will help you get and stay on track!!

THE JOY OF DISCIPLINE OR THE PAIN OF REGRET. WHICH WILL IT BE TODAY?
Discipline is doing what you don''t want to do so you can do what you really want to do."
What doesn''t kill you can only make you stronger!
People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing- that's why we recommend it daily.

This is a great place to be. Welcome. I find that when I blog on SP (about the emotional stuff) I get so much support and encouragement. Also others tell me their perspectives and I don't feel so alone. Looking forward to getting to know you.
“Worrying does not empty tomorrow of its troubles…. it empties today of its strength.”
I've been around SP for a while (off and on). I realize that even though I intellectually understand everything I need to do to lose weight, I have yet to connect it with my emotional and spiritual side the way I would like.
I am currently on a medical leave diagnosed with exhaustion. My doctor wants me to focus on exercise, eating right, journaling, meditation/prayer. I have found wonderful friends on other teams who are great to talk with about weight loss. Here I hope to find friends who have found success on their spiritual and emotional journeys.
I'm excited because I will be joining a meditation class this week!
