Hi my name is Stacy and I just joined a week or so ago. (I know, I should have introduced myself sooner...) I am 25 and have about 45 pounds to let go of. It's amazing what can happen when you from a very active job where you're always moving and going, to a desk job. I also have an equally overweight cat named Fudge (ok maybe not equal, but he is a whopping 18 pounds. He's a very good eater.). He is my four legged child.
Anyway, I've decided to really make a conscious effort to change the way I live my life. I want to be healthy and in the best shape I can be in for the long term. I don't want to be one of those people who goes back and forth with their weight their whole life with subsequent medical problems. I've seen the heartache and physical pain of doing that very thing from my parents and my grandparents. They're the types that are always looking for the "quick fix" or the weight loss "secret". I don't care if I have to do it the old fashioned way and sweat a little (or alot), I'll feel like I've really earned it and remember how hard it was so that I can finally keep it off for good.
I'm so glad to be a part of this group. I adore all you guys at SP. This should really be mandatory for anyone who's goal is to live better. It's only been a week and you've already changed my life.
