When I take my kids on a walk with me, they jump on their bikes. This way, I could walk at a decent pace and they are having fun. I have sooo many DVD's in my workout collection it's CRAZY. I have to keep changing things up to keep it interesting.

Do you have OnDemand? You could get free exercise routines.

My kids are older and pretty self sufficient. I belong to a gym, but their child care room is too babyish for them. I have never done an exercise video at home. I guess I could try that. I have tried going on walks with the kids, but they complain the entire time, so it's not exactly enjoyable to do that either. Very frustrating to me!

Hey Julie,

If I don't wake up early before the kids wake up, then I schedule a time for me to use the TV. We have a little portable DVD player that I put on movies for them to watch while I'm exercising. This way my 3 year old is entertained. How old are you babies?

Yes I'm cooking Christmas dinner, but we're a small group of 6, so nothing too over the top. I always find it a challenge to exercise too with the kids home from school, when it's holiday break or summer. What do you all do when you have kids at home? I'm not an early riser and my husband goes to work by 7 a.m. sometimes...

Hey girls, It's a total madhouse here. I have so much to so before family comes that I don't know where to begin. Exercise is totally going to go by the wayside until I can get organized here! I have a feeling this is why people wait until January to begin.

My day was peaceful because I decided to take it easy. I got in my 50 min pilates workout routine and then relaxed with my husband until the kids came home from school. Tonight, we had a nice christmas gathering at my sons school. I just love watching the little kids sing carols.

I'm up for this challenge. I really need to get off my sorry butt and start doing something. If I had someone to compare notes with, I might actually follow through with my actions. Feb. 14th sounds perfect. Today I'm 146 and to be 136 would be so awesome. I can't remember when I saw a number below 140. It's been a long long time!

I'm sooo sorry to here you are not 100%. Bronchitis is a good excuse to relax and take it easy for a while. How long have you had it for? I hope you feel better soon.

Just wondering if anyone would be willing to start a challenge with me? I was thinking of a Valentine's Day Chellenge? My goal will be 10 pounds because my rate of loss is around 5 pounds a month. We have exactly 2 months.

I have not been doing as well as I had in the past. I have been struggling since I have been fighting bronchitis for awhile now, but I just don't want to use that as an excuse. I am trying to do some sort of exercise everyday. I especially like Leslie Sansone's walking videos. My favorite is her run/walk video. I also have picked up The Biggest Loser video from the local library.

Great to have another member to chat with. How is everything going with you on your progress? I've just purchased the Core Rhythms DVD's to add to my collection. It's much different than what I'm used, but I finally have something that doesn't involve kicks and punches. LOL.
