Thanks for the welcome and the reminder that we are all human and therefore may tend to falter from our good habits and progress. I was feeling very down yesterday when I took stock of what I'd eaten in the past week but now after thinking and talking with my husband about it I realize that it's not the end of the world and I can again get on my healthy eating, exercising and living routine I will get back to where I want to be going.
We will all get there, we just have to do it!
I understand you both, I lost 20 pounds between August and November and gained 10 or it back between thanksgiving and New Years. But I am sure that we can all get back on the bandwagon and lose the weight that we have gained, plus some.
Don't beat yourself up too much, Shelly. I'm sure a lot of us fell off the wagon during the holiday week. I was on vacation in Florida, visiting my daughter, and came back 7 pounds heavier -- that's more than a pound a day, as I was only there for 6 days! I'm hoping it won't take too long to get back on track. At least I started off OK today, eating light, and exercising for 40 minutes today. We can do this!

I was doing great. I'd lost 10 pounds in the 7 weeks leading up to christmas, and was 30 pounds lighter than last dec 25th.
And then the dreaded week between christmas day and new years, when there wasn't so much activity and we were twice storm bound in the house with the chocolate. And not to mention the drinks - the lattes and wine and soda and juice!
I'm afraid to weigh myself. I really did binge this past week. I'm going to give myself one week to detox and get some exercise in and I'll weigh myself in a week and post it then.
I just can't do it today.
