Oh want joy's of going through this time in our lives:) I'm grateful we have one another.

I'll be sitting around and say it's sure is HOT in here and every body else says were just fine, nothing like a HOT Flash in the middle of the day. And the room is at 75.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I am liking the spritz bottle idea, now I just have to go out and find one that does a "fine mist." Stay cool everyone!

I don't work out because I hate my body, I work out because I LOVE it.

I have a fan in every room. I never leave home without one. I live in a mild climate around the mid 70's is average. It does get hotter on occassion. Anything over 75 and I start whining.

My daughter bought me an air conditioner and everybody else in the house has to wear more clothes. emoticon

Check out the older topic called, "Hot Flashes". There are some good tips.

I live on a cool/foggy summer area. When it gets hot here, it is really unusual. I can relate to what you are going through.

Try spritzing yourself with cool water.

Hope this helps some.emoticon

Well, NW Penna has had alot of these hot(80's) with high humidity and high dew point most of summer also. I'm ok in my car! with the AC on high, but in my office, my back side is soaking wet. It would be nice if the AC was working some. The guys tell me if feels great-who ae they kidding!!

So we are in the middle of a heatwave in Maine. I know that many of you in other parts of the country deal with high heat all the time, but in Maine, we are used to the mid 80's with low humidity. Today it was 95 degrees with a relative humidity of about 90 percent.....and I was the queen of the hot flashes.....oh my....not pretty. By the end of the day, my hair looked like a brillo pad. I am trying to convince my husband to let me keep the AC in our bedroom on the "arctic" setting. of course that means he comes to bed in a sweatshirt and sweatpants. How do you all keep cool, when the flashes, well, flash?

I don't work out because I hate my body, I work out because I LOVE it.
