My parents lost a lot of weight using what I consider "fake" food. I refuse to do it that way. I want my children to grow up knowing what real food it and what real food tastes like. That said, I stumbled into milk kefir, water kefir and kombucha this summer. I have to say, the batch of kombucha I have brewing right now looks to be the best yet. The mother is fattening up, after 24 hours the baby is forming, I'm pretty excited as I haven't grown a thick baby yet. With temps dipping into the single digits here, I think having the wood burner consistently heating the kombucha room has really helped. Hoping to get some good tips and good water kefir recipes. Don't really enjoy the stuff...
Getting healthy is like getting through boot camp. It's a lot of hard work, and some days you want to quit. But when graduation day arrives, memories of pain and trouble pale in the light of the pride and accomplishment you feel. You made it! You didn't quit.
