Thanks every one for the support. I will start my training this week. I went to a website and printed out the training schedule. That gave me a great peace of mind! I just got to see myself as an athlete! ;-)
Okay what you need to do now, is do research on half marathon training plans....there are tons and depending on you and only you - you can decide which one you like - then proceed to do that. Examples are : Runnersworld.com smart coach, Jeff Galloway, John Bingham, Hal Higdon, and so many others.
I have signed up to run a half marathon in October. And I am not a runner YET!! I signed up as a way to push myself into shape, besides the supporting a good cause part. But I have no idea in how to train for that, I guess i just got to run! I ran a little over 3 miles the other day I was really proud of myself, but that kinda scared me, because it took me a long time for that and I have committed to run for 13 miles. WOW "what was I thinking?!"
