You may want to look at Spark your way to 10K program. I did it, last year I took out the first few weeks because I was already running 3 miles consistently. I think it took me about 8 weeks to get there. Good Luck you are a runner.
I am a new runner. I started running January 1, 2010 using the C25K program. I finished the program and ran my first official 5K on March 13th, 2010. I have found that I really enjoy running especially the way it makes me feel when I have achieved a new goal, ran a further distance, or beat a previous time. I am a slow runner and am working to increase my speed and my endurance. I have checked out the one-hour runner program and have read a few books trying to gather as much info as possible to make my training the best it can be. My ultimate goal is to be fit and healthy. I still have a lot of weight to lose, but I have made a lot of progress. I also want to run a 10K. I don't know how long it will take me to train. I was shocked at how quickly I went from Couch to 5K!! I am looking for a chat where experienced runners share what works and what doesn't. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

I don't win races, but I always cross the finish line. I'm not fast, but I try my best to become faster. I don't have sports endorsements or earn a paycheck, but that doesn't stop me from running. I'm doing the couch to 5k program the pp mentioned. I'm coming back to running after having my baby. I've never ran a race before but I plan to do a 5k in may! Let me know if you end up doing the program. I found a great podcast that tells me what to do.

Hi everyone. Im actually new to running but would love to run in a 5K one day! I started running on the wii fit lol but it got me to really love it. I love to go to the park and run, it just makes me feel so much better about myself!
