I was hiding but I am back. I will be here at least periodically but I am ready to get back on track with my weight loss. A lot of things have changed, including my location but my weight has not. It is not where I want it to be and I am ready to change that.

I joined, I am learning and losing some weight. When I realized how much I had lost, then started eating everything a couple of days ago. So, it is like starting over for me.
It was great to read about your journey's here and how you are moving forward. Hopefully that will be encouragement and motivation enough to start the journey again.

I just noticed that I never said "hi" to this team through this thread - Oops! I have information about me on my Spark Page - feel free to look, if you want. I'm thrilled with the support & information that I have already found here at SP. It blows my mind how many of us started the same week! It's nice to have a team of people going through this at the same time.

I'm Louise, mom of two. Slowly gained weight since May 2006 when I gave up ciggies and then had 2 international moves (UK-Australia-USA) to deal with. I'm 50 on the 14th December and want to lose 30lbs so I'm fabulous at 50 not fat at 50. I started this almost four weeks ago but then got flu which really set me back as it has taken some getting over - typical. However, I'm doing well now. I'm going to the gym 3-4 times a week with a buddy, I'm eating well and even had a grilled chicken salad when we ate out on Saturday!I think I've lost about 5lbs but forgot to weigh myself at the gym before my work out this morning to exactly compare.

emoticon Hi! My name is Therese and I'm the 45-year-old mother of 4 children, ages 15 to 8. I've joined SparkPeople because I've been trying to lose weight for years now and I'm sick of being overweight! So far I'm noticing that I have more energy and my clothes are fitting better. I'm also noticing that my cats like to get in the way whenever I'm doing strength training!

hi everyone! i'm a mom in my late 30s trying to loose the post-baby weight. my babies didn't make me heavy, but stress did, so i'm working on managing my stress in a healthy way. i feel really positive about the encouragement i've found on this website. my two main goals are to track my daily food intake and exercise 5-6 times a week.

Hi. My name is Heidi and I have 50 pounds to lose. I am pre-diabetic for the first time in my life and I've begun a new daily work out regimen and am beginning to reduce my sugar intake. I am new to this site and still figuring how to operate it. :)

emoticon to the newest folk who have introduced themselves....you have been on the journey for a short time now and you are still here, still moving, and showing some positive results...

Just as importantly, you are connecting with others who are also starting on the journey and have similar goals. It is this fine network of friends who will run this race with you with some HIGH FIVEs and an occasional "nudge."

We need one another to make this work...it is better and easier together. I found that to be true when I started SP and I find it even more true now.

This is a special community and your being here makes it that much better.

Hey everyone, I am a new member on the team and have been using the sight for a couple of weeks. I am currently not on any specific diet with any specific goals besides keeping around my current weight of 170lbs and maintaining my five day a week excercise program. I like eating healthy but I am human so I tend to jump off track with a huge binge every now and then. I look forward to new ideas on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle thru this site and all of you.

I'm a new member. My name is Julie and I'm 40. I heard about this website because it was listed on the materials my husband brought home from his MOVE class with the VA. I checked it out and it had so many helpful tools that I signed up immediately. I really need to take control of my health. The last 2 1/2 yrs I have had a sedentary computer graphics job, and simply stopped getting any excercise, compared to when I was at home with my baby. That baby is now 4, and I have left my job to focus on my art-making business, and have more time with family. It's a great time to make a change. I have been tracking the food I eat, and plan to walk my girl to preschool 2x a week. Baby steps. I know what it feels like to be healthy and limber and have more energy, and desparately want that back, and my positive self-image. I have about 70 lbs to lose. Good luck, my fellow Sparkites. emoticon

Hi littlemiss from Debs ( also from UK) :) Good luck and take it one step at a time. If you fall off one day get straight back on the next. My downfall is red wine and last few days had a little too much again. Although still within calories not healthy to over indulge and I need to break the cycle mentally as well as physically. Also not really exercised much due to hard weekend shift work but about to get back on that treadmill and bike. Keep looking forward and moving forward and don't panic if you slip on occasion.

Hello all :o)
Its taken me a while to introduce myself, but now i have the time to concentrate on me. a bit scary, but it must be done! I am a mother of an 11 yr old, who just started secondary school. time has flown by and stops for no one :o( Several years ago i lost about 4 stone (56lb) and have since allowed it,plus more, back into my life. regretably yes, but it was me who put hand to mouth and backside to chair, so i cannot wallow in self pity any more!Enough of excuses now. in the last year i have lost 35lbs again but am struggling now and am heading in the wrong direction!ive already gained 7lb back so time to stop, take action and get this journey heading the right way. i look forward to chatting to you all x

Hey Y'all,

I have no idea how many times in the last 15 years that I've attempted losing weight, but I know this is the first time I've been serious about being in a community to help me with it. I'm determined to hold myself accountable, (and I expect a little help with that. :) )

It's been a couple of weeks and already I feel better. Well, everything but my feet. They aren't too happy with me, but they will be in the long run.

My goals are typical. Look good. Feel good. What I really would like is to have some pictures of myself and my family. Looking back I realize how often I shy away from the lens or make sure I'm the one taking the photo. I want to be front and center and I want to feel confident there.

Hope to hear from some of you soon. Friend anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Hello to all,
I don't feel the least bit out of place on this team if by the dates posted they are implying that everyone here is just as new as me. I sure hope that is the case, if not I'm mentally flexible. Now to work on that body of mine. I need to get it flexible again so that it will be able to handle a simple command like walk me across the beach sand like I used to without falling flat on my face or sinking into the sand because my legs don't want to go on walking through the thick sand, because the muscles and joints cannot meet the command.

They say you cannot go home again. I don't to do that. But I do have every intention of making it to the shoreline and back without being winded and taking a cane. I'm a proud mom of three grown children, but that is not why I am here. I need to loose weight and a lot of it. I am encouraged by all the positive comments and reinforcement I've received thus far. Every one needs a great support system, I believe I've found one. Thank you all so much!

Have you ever looked at a picture of yourself and thought "Who the heck is that fat women?" Well that's me! emoticon I have 2 children, my youngest just entered 1st grade, so now I have the time I need to take care of me. I have been on the Prism & Curves diets, only to fall right off the wagon as soon as I am lookin good. I am 33 and realize I have to get the weight off now. I hope I have learned from my past failures, and can change my lifestyle for good. We deserve the right to enjoy life to the fullest...lets do this!!

Hi everyone! I am new as of last week so it is good to finally be able to introduce myself. I am the single mother of a 14 year old and I work as a victim advocate. I am really struggling today. I am tired and that is never good for me and my eating, but I am trying to push through and not fall into my bad habits. I did work out this morning - 40 minutes cardio and 25 minutes lifting. Well just wanted to say hi and I am so glad to be here!

Here I am trying yet another way to hopefully shed some of this weight that I am toting around with me. I am 26 and the mother of a 7, 6, 3, and 5 month old. My life is pretty busy, but I cannot wait to see some progress. The first week was hard. I keep hoping that it will get better. Wish me luck!!1

Hi everyone. This is my first time as a Sparkpeople member. I lost about 50 pounds with Weight Watchers 5 years ago. Unfortunately, I have put 20 pounds of it back on. I am very frustrated that I can no longer fit into the new wardrobe I had to buy when I lost all of the weight. I do not want to go back out and buy bigger clothes. I feel like that would be counterproductive. Hoping to meet others in my situation for mutual support. I know we can do this.

Hi everyone! I joined on Friday and I finally have time to stop by and introduce myself!
My name is Ali, I am a 29 year old wife and mother of two little girls! Pre-kids I was about 10 or 15 lbs overweight. But I gained weight with each pregnancy and never lost it so now I am looking to lose around 50 lbs! I have lost about 20 lbs this year but I haven't really been able to stick to it so I'm hoping this site will give me the support and motivation I need :) Things are pretty busy lately- I work part time, start school part time next month, and of course a full time mom! But even with my plate full I feel that I am ready to make getting healthy a priority. I want to be a good role model for my kids and future clients(I am studying to become a dietitian!)

I signed in on the 27th, but haven't introduced myself. I'm 39 and a SAHM with 3 kids that keep me pretty busy. I started perimenopause last year and now the weight is sticking with me. I can't seem to lose that extra 5 pounds that I want to. I am overwhelmed with everything on SP, but am excited to have support from so many different people.

Hi there. I'm a 40+ year old mother, wife and realtor. I have alot on my plate stress wise and really don't have support from friends or family who share my interest in exercise or healthy eating. Thats why Im here! To connect with others like me. I hope to stick this out because in the past few years I've been doing the yo-yo thing on the scale. Good luck everyone!

Hello everyone! Congrats to everyone for taking the first step in reaching your goals!

I'm a 26 year old stay at home mother and Army wife. I had my daughter in December and haven't lost any of the weight that I gained while pregnant with her. My goal is to lose the baby weight and the stress weight (from before I got married!) by March.

Good luck everyone!

Hi, I just landed here a few days ago. Determined to lose the 17 pounds and a lot of inches to be a healthy weight and build some strength. I have lost/gained weight on and off since the birth of my second child in 1984. Now I want to make it a lifestyle/diet change. I am a little overwhelmed with everything here, and still learning my way around. Looking forward to getting to know everyone and making some friends/buddies in the process. Have looked through the recipes, and there seems to be a lot of good ones. Will be trying some of those soon.

Hi Everyone! :)
My name is Jami, I'm 22 years old and have decided I'm REALLY GOING TO lose that 30 lbs I gained when I was pregnant with my son (which was about 3 and a half years ago now might I add, Can't use the "I just had a baby" excuse anymore lol). I've been yo-yo dieting ever since he was born and have never really stuck to anything. But I am absolutely determined! My goal is to be down to 130 by Christmas, which gives me about 4 months. I'm excited to start this journey with such motivated people :) Best of luck to you all!

Hello. I'm a 26 year old re-starter from Seattle. I am looking to lose about 45 pounds by my 27th birthday May 18th! I hope to do this through slow and steady progress through using Spark People's diet and exercise programs.

I just graduated from law school and took the bar which is primarily the time frame in which I have gained weight (the last 3-4 years or so). I'm looking for a fresh start and am excited to be an active member of this very large Spark Team!

Hi Everyone. I am really glad to be here. I'm a married 46 yr old mother of 1 20yr old son who is a full time college student. This is my 1st time here, but not my 1st time trying to loose weight. In fact I have been dieting all the way up to 320. Loose then gain, putting on more and more weight each time until now. This is it. One thing that I am doing different from other programs is getting involved and posting and being honest about my weight and where I am at. Thank you all for being here and being part of my new way of life.

Hi guys,
I'm Becky. I'm 20, and I'm here because college stress has my weight spiraling out of control. I think I'm going to commit to walking my dog every night and trying to eat right. Small changes. If i lose one pound per week, i'll be at my goal by my birthday. It will be my birthday present, and i will buy myself a tiny string bikini ;)

Hi everyone!

Im a restarter too! I've been a spark member for over 2 years but this past year i decided that EVERYTHING was more important then taking care of ME! Plus i reached a milestone in weight loss and decided i could reward myself with some foods i've been avoiding....and well I've gained about 40 pounds back of what i lost! So here I am learning to MAKE this a LIFE STYLE change for the rest of my life! And not to wait til tomorrow to exercise and eat right.
I see there is a few restarters too and a bunch of newbies! Im excited to get started again and get to know yall!

Ok. I am going to really try to do this. I lost all my weight then hit menopause. I gained 15 pounds in one month without a single eating or exercise change. At 49, I was way surprised. I am hoping to find the encouragement to find the right mix of exercise and food choices. I am a widow with two teens, who has found love again. It is a fun time for me, so I hope I can lose the weight and pull this together.

Hello all. I'm a rejoiner; a new word coined by one the posts I read. I had my fourth child at 40 and just could never lose the weight. Now, at 51, "the change' is making it even harder to lose an ounce. I'm tired of excuses though, so here we go. Now or never. Taking each day at a time and making choices. I just joined the 4 day a week 40 minutes of cardio challenge. That should get me going! Good luck to everyone!

I'm new just today and I'm excited to get started but a little overwhelmed with all that SparkPeople has to offer. I have a weight loss goal of 15 pounds by November 1st. I've gone back and forth so much I'm tired of it. I'm ready to kick it into high gear. How do I start the weight loss graphic everyone seems to have?

Just do it!

Hi, I'm 34 years old and am the heaviest I've ever been in my life. I came across a reference to this site in an Amazon book review (of a weight loss book) and decided to check it out. I'm still finding my way around the site but it looks like there are a lot of resources here. I'm excited to get started!

Hi everyone, I am 25 (26 on Saturday!) and I have finally decided its time to get off the extra 20 or so pounds I've been carrying around. My goal is to reach the 120s by the first week in December.

I am taking it slow, 5 pounds at a time, and focusing on increasing my energy through exercise and general moving around, decreasing my alcohol and cheese intake (my two biggest indulgences), and cooking lots of fresh, locally grown foods.

I am happy to be here with all of you and I can't wait to meet you and talk! This time I am focusing on gaining support and confidence, instead of hiding my food struggles from everyone. I want to help support others as well!

Multiple Welcomes to all of the new members...we are glad you are here and ready to tackle a healhier lifestyle!

Jody, I was thinking about your e-mails and would like to discuss the calorie issue with one of SP's coaches. WHat you wrote below made me think extra hard because the reality is that if you are not eating enough, your body tends to hold on to what it has to work with....it's in preservation mode I guess for a lack of a better term. That concept used to strike me as funny, too, but now I always eat within my range as compared to the amount of exercise I do...when I was losing weight, I found that I had the greatest success when I was in the upper range of my calories...

ANyway, take a look at my e-mail and we will take it from there...

Everyone, please feel free to contact Aintskeerd or me if you have any questions....again, very glad you are joining us on this ride..sure, there will be some bumps, but the end is smoooooooooth!!!! emoticon

Hi all. As with the rest of us, I'm new here ! :) I've been on an interesting weight loss journey for the last 5 years (after the birth of my last child). I lost 60 pounds, but have been stuck with the remaining 20 or so for a couple of years now. I recently (2 months ago) have begun to train for a half marathon. One of my biggest challenges anytime I begin losing weight, is that when I add in intense workouts, my weight goes UP. Ugh. So, over the last 2 months, I have gained 10 pounds. I might not care so much knowing that weight gain is normal when beginning to exercise, but sadly, I've had to go UP a clothing size as well. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm not one of those people that thinks I can eat more b/c I exercise (at least not regularly ... every now and then I'll treat myself), so that isn't my problem. I've had many people tell me I'm not eating enough w/ the amount of running I'm doing. I don't understand that concept, so thought I could use the help in doing something like SP. I look forward to living this journey w/ others who deal w/ similar things!

Hi. I'm a newbie to not only this website, but the whole getting healthy thing in general. I have never been small (I'm a 5'10" female, large frame)and I will never be small. I do want to be healthy though. I have taken some steps to help me reach this goal. I'm in the process of kicking a bad habit. No more smoking for me. I have been drinking my 8 glasses of water, and have started walking 30 mins a day. I even got a workout buddy to go on this journey with me. Lucked up on this website yesterday. It just may be the one thing that ties it all together. Here's to our health and meeting all of our goals.

This group is growing so fast that it is hard to keep up with all of you! emoticon to the SP Class of August 23-29...keep the communication going, build relationships, and remember that the power to succeed is right there between the ears...once you dare to make the determined decision to succeed, then plan it out and practice it....you can do wonders here!

BTW, I was a 47 year old tired chunky guy when I started in Oct 08....lots of self-doubts and have been on this weight loss roller coaster for YEARS...all that changed as a result of SP and the wonderful and encouraging people you will meet...I have energy to burn on most days including being more helpful at home which a certain Caliwife is VERY happy about!

Please let Aintskeerd or I know if you have any questions, comments, etc...we are here to help!

I'm a re-starter, too. I originally signed up in March because my employer was doing a fitness challenge, but this time I made the decision to do this for me. I have been fighting my weight for most of my adult life and have just made the decision that this time I'm going to win this fight.

I'm a mom of 6 - 3 biological and 3 step kids. The youngest 2 live with us on a farm in Kansas. Since June, I've been staying at home and just continued to gain weight.

Currently, I am doing the 30 day shred DVD with Jillian Michaels. It's really hard for me, as I am an old, out of shape mom. I've done it 2 days in a row, and can really feel it.

I'm glad to have all of you here for support, and I look forward to sharing successes with you!

Hey,
I'm a college student and I just got out of what was not neccessarily the healthiest relationship. I also go to a very, uh, overweight school because it's all women and the campus is tiny. There's not alot of motivation and the dining hall has some of the worst food I've ever seen. Everyone has snacks in their rooms because I don't think you can survive without them.
I play sports, but I still managed to gain nearly 50 pounds in 4 years, curtsy to stress and the ex, or maybe just stress from the ex. My plan is to eat healthier, though probably not in the dining hall, and throw myself into the sports I've been kind gliding along in for the last couple years. Single again means I have to look better or I'm going to stay that way. Mostly, however, I want to lose the weight for confidence. Being dumped because the boyfriend would rather party then date you after being engaged for two years kind of kills your good sense of self.

Hi! I'm the mother of a VERY active 15month old boy living in South Korea. I've failed to shift the baby weight and am currently sitting at 94kg. We want to try for baby #2 in the New Year, but there is no way I can do it at such an unhealthy weight!
I've been going to a personal trainer 6 times a week for 1 month now, and only lost 1kg of fat, gained 1kg of muscle. I think my busy schedule and poor eating habits have been the problem. I'm not cheating and eating junk, I'm simply not eating! Breakfast is usually a multivitamin and grape juice, lunch veggies and chicken breast, and then dinner is more veggies and chicken. I think I haven't been meeting my caloric needs for the amount of intense exercise I have been doing and my weight has been yo-yoing this whole month! I hope that by using SPARK I can get things on track! I'm Canadian and my husband is Korean, so the language barrier with my trainer and the meal schedule has made it hard for me to find the right foods to eat. This site is a great tool! emoticon

I just joined yesterday and I am amazed how many people this site has helped. I am a professional businessman that has been using my career as an excuse to eat excessively. Business lunches and dinners have been my support for obesity. I am confident this site is going to help keep me on track. I plan to start and end each day with a visit that will force me to visually see what I am doing to help myself.

Tariannr,
that is awesome that you went for a 7 mile walk tonight. What a great accomplishment. Training for the marathon will be a great goat too. I am 218 pound now (started my journey at 262) and walking has been the best thing for me. I am now training to run (okay not fast but still it is faster than walking) my first 5K in October. I would never have thought I could do it but we amaze ourselves when we set our mind to do something. Keep up the great work!

Hi all. I am new to this site and excited to be here! As a mother of two teenage sons, I have spent most of my time focused on their needs and very little time focused on mine.

Two months ago, a friend and I decided to adopt a "walking" exercise program. At 240 lbs., it wasn't easy. I constantly had to stop to catch my breathe and I was sore for days after.

However, over the course of weeks, I began to notice that I was able to breathe easier as I walked which led to fewer "breaks".

A few weeks ago, my friend and I started walking with a group who is training for the 2010 L.A. Marathon. Our motivation was to learn proper walking techniques, mindset and attire. But after realizing that we could keep up with the group, we have decided to join the marathon, too!

So, in preparation for this week's walk, tonight we are walking 7 miles!! If you had asked to me to it months ago, I would have said "forget it", but each week I surprise myself, and I don't expect tonight to be any different!

HI everyone,

I am Dee from Rhode Island. I am hoping that SP is the source of motivation that I need to break out of my rut. I really don't have any issues with exercise it is the eating thing that is tormenting me. I have been playing with the same 3 lousy pounds for about 5 months now. No! I don't have only 3 lousy pounds to lose. I really should lose about 40 more pounds (or maybe 50) as I am 218 pounds and 5'6". I am looking for motivation on sticking with a better way of eating. I know I need to eat small, frequent meals of more whole foods but why oh why can't I just do it???

Well it will be nice to have folks with me on this ride. Good luck to everyone.

Hi all!

I'm Jaime. I'm 31 and live in Virginia. I'm actually a re-joiner. This morning I wiped out my previous SP account and am starting fresh after about a year off from serious effort. Overall I'd like to lose about 120 lbs, but I'm starting small for my first goal... 5 lbs before I go on vacation next month.

Current goal: 5 lbs by 9/14

Hello!

My name is Michelle, 31, single mom of a beautiful little girl, Ryann, who is almost 2. I've struggled with weight loss most of my life. After having Ryann, it has gotten worse.

My motivation for being here, I'm tired of ... trying to lose weight! I'm ready to be happy & healthy and start feeling GOOD about myself, my body, and in all honesty, being completely vain, seeing myself in photos with my little girl!

I am really excited about participating here, it's a little overwhelming, but looking forward to getting started.

Happy Monday, ~Michelle

Hi, I'm Crissy. 26, I've been overweight since I was about 21. I kicked a drug habit and gained a lot of weight, very fast. I've been clean for well over 5 years, now I want to live a truly healthy lifestyle, not just off drugs, but also really taking care of myself, mentally, physically, and spiritually. For myself and for my family. I was on sparkpeople before, with another name, and I made a lot of progress but then I let life get in the way, and was inactive for quite some time. I decided that I needed an completely fresh start, with people starting out at the same stage in the game, so here I am. I'm looking forward to getting to know many of you, especially since I already know how important it is to make friends and gain a support system. It makes all the difference in the world. Anything you want to know about me... just ask. I'm an open book.

Welcome to SP Class of AUgust 23-29! We are very happy you have joined the team.

Meg, you will get the support, just keep posting...add some blogs...and let us know what your needs are, how you are feeling, whatever you want to share...there is no better or more supportive online community than the one you will find here.

As to Getting Started, I suggest visiting the "Getting Started Guide" which will walk you all through Spark People, help you set goals, and allow you to see some of the resources that are offered here. Take advantage of this site and its tools, it will help...and you can make SP as big or as little as you want, just depends on how much time you want to spend here...here's the link:

I'm so nervous about having actually set down my goals in front of me--but equally excited. Knowing that I've made plans to change my life is so exciting, but I'm nervous that I won't have the willpower to follow through. Hopefully with all the support backing me I'll be able to!

Hello All. I've just signed up hoping this will be the last online attempt to lose weight. I'm a 36 y/o mother of 3 beautiful kids.

I'm really hoping that I can stick to it this time. I'd love to find some "buddies" with common interests or hobbies to help along the way. Whenever I've signed up with other online sites it's be overwhelming with so many people or tools and I tend to give up. Would love a "quick tips" or tutorial on the site as well.

Welcome welcome, everyone. I agree with Aintskeerd, it is fantastic to see people being active right from the beginning. As with anything else, the more you put into it, the more you can take from it...and who knows, you may be leading one of these teams in the near future and letting your Spark shine!

Very glad you are here....remember to keep the lines of communication open. We have almost 900 members already, so in many ways we will all pitch in from time to time to welcome others and say hello...we are a community and our goals are similar...we just have to stay the course!

We can do this together!

Nice to see some early posting since it is our "easiest" way to keep in touch and the way we will build relationships and our support team! We seriously need each other to make it through this successfully and to make it a fun ride!

Please let us know if you have any questions so that we can help meet your needs!

As far as incorporating exercise into a busy workday, I started with walking one mile per day near my worksite and climbing stairs....the stairs whipped me at first, but with a little practice I think I have the edge now....well, most days anyway...

A lot of people make walking their go-to exercise...depending on your office set up, you might also be able to do stretching and strength exercises...depends on how comfortable you are...

ok, well, let the adventure begin! Remember, on this SP journey, you are never alone!

I have been fluffy for a while now and have some health issues that will only get worse if I continue down the present road I am on. I don't want to add any new issues to the list and have got to take better care of myself from here on out. It is time to set the skinny girl free, so here I am. I had been fluffy once before and lost 80 pounds, 20 years ago, so I know I can do it. I maintained the weight for 15 years. The key to that loss was reduction in food intake and increased calorie expenditure, a simple formula. I know now I need to be more of a sentry after the loss this time out. I am ready and looking forward to the metamorphosis. I am happy to be here and glad to make all of your acquaintances.

Well, here I am :) Tepidly setting my foot into this water after a friend has enviably lost 60 pounds with the help of SP. Age, babies, and medical issues have formed the perfect storm in my body, and maybe this is the safe harbor in which to find the smaller, healthier me.

Hello. My name is Karen and I am a 23 yr old from Williamsport PA currently residing in the Palms area of Los Angeles. My goal is to lose the 20-something pounds I have unintentionally gained since moving here. I need to somehow find an open spot to shove in exercise between working full time at a school and going to school full-time. Any hints, tips, or strategies are greatly appreciated and welcome!

Come October 15, I will be celebrating one year on Spark People.

I have been on the weight loss roller coaster for about 18 years (I am 48), so I had my doubts when I started...

But 10 months later i have lost 45 pounds and am maintaining! I am off diabetes meds. I exercise regularly and ENJOY it. I have lost 4 inches from my waist and about 1.5 from my neck.

I am here to say, come on board and tell us how things are going and be patient with yourselves! You will slip from time to time, but get back on board as fast as you can and share how you are doing. Not only are we your team-mates, we are your accountability partners, too.

This has worked for me and it can work for you!

September 15th I will celebrate 1 year as a member of this SparkFamily.

At that time, my goal was to lose 90# by Dec 31 of this year. So far I have lost 77#. I am well ahead of my target pace. Currently I am at a self-induced plateau in order to balance increasing muscle mass while continuing to lose the fat.

In order to meet my original goal, I need to lose the remaining 25# by the end of this year. I have no doubt, with the continuing support of my SparkFamily, I will meet this goal with ease.
