Welcome to our group. My learning to cook healthy is what has helped me to lose weight. Hubby and I read labels. We do not use boxed or premade food. We cook from scratch with fresh or frozen fruits and veggies, using herbs and spices in place of lots of salt, etc. We completely gave up sodas and artificial sweetners. If it says low fat, low calaroies, lite or anything like that we do not use. They replace the real thing with chemicals, etc so it will taste good. Hubby is also losing and he is not working at it like i have been.

There is very few things I enjoy more than cooking. Now I'm learning how to cook healthy foods. But I do enjoy making people happy with a good meal. I add a little love in every dish I cook. I would go to cooking school if I could justify it, but I don't want to cook for a living, so I can't justify the expense.
