You can buy the book at Walmart or order it online at walmart.com or Amazon.com. I think it's around $15 or so. They have the regular 17 day diet book and they have a 17 day diet cookbook. You probably would only need the regular book if you only have 20 to go. The regular book does have some recipes in it too. :)

Congratulations on the weight loss by the way! Wow!

I'd be interested to see this 17-day plan. I've already lost 100 pounds but have been "stuck for 3 years and can;t seem to get the last 20 off.

Thanks for the welcome! The 17 Day Diet is basically low carbs and healthy eating. There are four 17-day cycles that you follow to acheive your weight loss. There's a book with recipes in it and I cook all that I eat. No frozen meals. Yay! The idea behind the 17 days is that is how long the Dr. who wrote it thinks your body takes to adapt to your new diet...so it changes a bit every 17 days. I'm only in the first week. It's pretty strict, but so far so good. The weight is coming off fast so far. My trouble with diets has always been that if I eat off plan one time, I throw in the towel and go back to my old ways. So if I can make it past 2 weeks, I will beat my old records! :)

Welcome Lina. I'm not familiar with the 17 day diet either. However a 7.5 pound loss is great! Good for you.

I joined SparkPeople in Feb, but I am just getting started now to really try to lose weight. I'm following the 17 Day Diet, but using SparkPeople to track all my goals and meals. So far so good! I lost 7.5 pounds and already feel better. I have a long way to go, but am looking forward to the support and the results along the way. I have about 70 pounds to lose. It is tough to change your way of life, but looking at what mine has led to there is not a doubt in my mind that my diet and bad habits have to change.

Lina
