I'm new to the team! My husband and I are doing Insanity... we're in week 3 right now. We both have about 30 pounds to lose.
Here's the thing... I wasn't expecting the weight to drop off right away, but I've lost 3/10 of a pound in almost 3 weeks. I'm sticking to the meal plan and tracking my food here. I log 500 calories per workout except for the cardio recovery workout. I do wear a heart rate monitor and actually track 600+ usually... but it is not the most accurate of monitors, so I just log 500 to be safe.
I ganed a little over 2 pounds in the first 2 weeks... and was really getting discouraged.
I found an article that may explain it... something about your body protecting it's joints when starting an intense program like Insanity or P90X and that it should start coming off in week 4... so I'm plugging away!
I really like the program so far but really LOVE that my husband is doing it too. He's changed so much already.. physical changes AND his mood and energy level! It's awesome. I'm going to stick with it through to the end, but I'm hoping this weight will start coming off! I did take day 1 measurements, but haven't measured since... I think at day 30 we will measure.
Would love to know everyone's thoughts on the program and the weight loss.
