Hi! I am also working on my mindful eating. One thing to do is relax and tell yourself it is okay for your mind to wander because that is what the mind does. Just bring it back to the present every time. Look at your food, smell it, taste it, enjoy it. You'll see yourself relaxing as time goes on! I have a hard time sometimes because I have 3 kids and they are chatterboxes! lol But that is okay. Mindful eating teaches us to be in the present and enjoy the moments we have. I used to say I love eating, that is why I am overweight...but if I really love eating why don't I take the time to enjoy it fully??! So I am focussing on my love now lol...
I have a hard time with this challenge. I usually read while eating, so I'm finding it very hard to not do anything. Even when I try to focus on my food, my mind wanders. Any tips for getting started? How do you stay focused?
