I think I may have participated in this challenge a while back - a year or more ago? But I don't think I was terribly active on the thread and know I didn't complete the challenge. I'm ready to commit now!
1. How did you hear about Mindful Eating?

2. What was it that attracted you to Mindful Eating?
Counting calories does not work for me. Since April 2009 I've lost 30 pounds by listening to my body. I'd like to lose 10-15 more, and sometimes I decide the only way to do that is to count calories. The problem with that idea is that I rebel and end up overeating. I'm dealing with emotional eating issues and enjoy eating healthy food - so now I want to focus on learning to eat when I'm hungry and stop when I'm satisfied.
3. Does applying mindfulness to other areas of your life interest you?
YES. Everything is better when I am really present in the moment. Something as simple as eating breakfast outside on my balcony, or listening to my cat purr when I get home from work, can be such an incredible experience if I actually notice and appreciate the moment!
