Overall Goal: To get healthy, become happy with myself! Also I do NOT want to be a "fat" bride again (married before) and a "main" goal is I want to become an "older adult" lifeguard :0) I REALLY want to STOP making up excuses for overeating or eating so much junk and start taking control of my life! I quit smoking almost 5 years ago and I have gained a TON of weight......if I can quit smoking I can lose weight!

Anything Else You Want To Share: I just graduated from Penn State as a nurse!! It took me 20 years to FINALLY accomplished this goal!!! I LOVE sports, especially hockey and football, but I really want to lose enough weight where I would feel comfortable playing volleyball because it is something I have always wanted to play :0)

Anything else you want to share: I did nutrisystem a couple years ago and lost 35 pounds, but got tired of the food and once I went off the "food", i've gained all the weight back, except 35 pounds; however, I went through planning my wedding in 8 months and getting married in the time since quitting NS, so I can't totally blame NS - it works well if you stick with the program, I just didn't want to have to eat NS food for the rest of my life and decided that it's time to do this as a lifestyle change rather than a diet...it's the only way that's going to work for me, especially in the long run.
So, I'm looking forward to being a part of this group and becoming a happier healthier person (and hopefully mommy)

I am looking for motivation and buddies to keep me accountable and to inspire me to go on when I stumble. Am 36 and looking to lose 40 lbs. Am struggling with lack of motivation. Right now am starting by walking/running 10-20 minutes daily. And drinking green smoothie daily and am a vegetarian.

My hair is mostly white and has been for many years, I STOPPED coloring my hair at age 35 and it was largely white then.
I was married on December 21, 2010 in Victoria, BC. My spouse is a Canadian citizen and he wants me to eventually become at minimum a legal resident of Canada, more likely a citizen.

Overall Goal: To lose weight so I can go into my 2nd 1/2 of life as healthy and pain free as I possibly can be! As I'm hitting middle age and the twinges and creaks are beginning, I can already see down that road and I don't like what I see! Carrying this extra weight is just a vicious cycle that causes it!

Date Joined SP: Well, I joined in June of 2010, but wasn't active, and didn't really do much as I was sticking to a low-carb diet at the time. It's just been this week that I've really looked at the plan and been tracking my nutrition and exercise and gotten serious.
Goal Weight/Goal Weight Loss: I'd like to get to 130 by Labor Day. That will be 35 lbs. from April 6, 2011.
Overall Goal: To be healthier and more fit look better and feel better about myself.

My grandmother passed away due to being morbidly obese (her health was compromised from being overweight; diabetes, lung problems, couldn't stand or move, heart diasese, dementia, etc) I am classified as morbidly obese but I hate that terminology. I don't feel morbid and the word obese makes me think whale and I am not one of those either. I am also pre-diabetic. My goal is to be more active, make healthier food choices and to live a long happy healthy drug-free life.

I have found out that my hubby enjoys running also. However he wants to run more than I can at the time and I feel like I'm holding him back. That would be the only thing really we have in common in the exercise part of my life. I have been gaining and losing all month and I so hoped I'd have made my goal weight by the end of May. Overall Goal: To get a belly button ring, to wear a bikini, to be able to fit into really nice sundresses this summer without looking bloated, and to donate my eggs to a couple who needs them (apparently your BMI has to be 27 for them to consider you a donor and mine is 34 right now).
2 Random, Fun Facts about You: I love to read and write fanfiction (I know, I'm a dork) and I'm obsessed with cartoons (both kitty cartoons and adult swim type of cartoons).
Anything else you want to share: I've actually been working hard to lose weight since September of 2009. So far (if you count the two months I lazed around because of the holidays), I've lost 15LBS.
At this point, I would generally quit and go back into my old habits. But no longer! I will not let my laziness get the best of me. I have to keep going and I will keep going. Hopefully, with some support from the community, I will be able to get past this rough patch that I'm at right now.
Can't wait to hear some motivation from everyone!

Been a Spark member since, August had a great start, but there is only one problem with Spark, ME.
Oh, and if I do have any problem with Spark, it would be people are too nice, that is fine with most, many, but I know "Bob" all too well, and if there is a way to connive, wiggle, cheat, or in any way manipulate it, my base or lower self will find a way to play the game or system.
I have been playing "Spark" now for the last 3 months, so I am trying this team.
Brutally honest! I looked at this teams numbers and am not impressed!!! No better than most teams, no, I am not sugar coating this. I am looking for one maybe two other people who are going to be brutally honest with me. I need that.
I don't need a 'friend". I don't need analysis, (OK, maybe a bit) if that analysis is telling me like it is, fine.

I am not afraid to get in touch with people or listening to people's drammas, because to only enjoy other people's company, I think there are other spots.
