Me too, but it left my muscles sore so I haven't managed 4 days. I find squats less demanding than lunges, so I'm working on the lunges.
Must do some tonight.

Well I think we all should be getting into shape so that we can ski all day long AND fit into our ski pants.

I definately need new ski wear but I'm not good at spending money on myself. What I have is far too big (2 or 3 sizes too big!).
Hoping I can stay this weight or lose a few more pounds before Feb. ski holiday...

Awesome and so jealous of the early skiing. My boyfriend's cousin lives near Breck/Abasin but we are in Ohio, alas local skiing is what we get which is definitely ice. I, too, have been skiing only 3 years and look forward to the winter this year. I did my first black diamond this past winter at Holiday Valley, NY and was excited to not fall! I will definitely start up with anyone on the fall training - lets do it!

VTSKIER - I'm totally in the same boat about the ski pants! I have a pair that fits me now but I have another pair (that I like much better!) that's just a little too small. I want to fit into THOSE by the start of the season!

I am trying to hit my weight-loss goal by Thanksgiving because that's when the snowmakers have preseason ready :) I want smaller ski pants this year!

So with all this talk of skiing I thought I would try the lunge or squat goal at the bottom of the page. I found myself with a few quiet moments at lunchtime yesterday so I did 12 lunges then 15 squats with a gym ball. I'm really sore today!Obviously need to do lots more (in sensible amounts!)

I live in England. There are a few indoor slopes around the country.

I think it's a great idea to start doing some team fitness goals for the fall.
And call me naive but I've never heard of an indoor slope!

But I guess if you are anxious to ski then it could hold you over until you could get out to your favorite mountain!

All this talk of skiing makes me impatient... Maybe I'll have to go to the local indoor snowslope once term starts though it's nowhere near as nice as the real thing!

I'm in Utah. Our ski season doesn't start until mid-November. And then it's rocky early season for the most part. Can't wait though. It's already starting to feel like fall here. I think there was some talk about having some team goals to start training in the fall.

Well, I am originally from IL so I never knew the joy of skiing until I moved out here.
My boyfriend's parents own a condo at Keystone so that's why we usually ski there - it's literally steps from one of the lifts so it's nice not to have to get on a bus or drive to a different resort.
I LOVE Beaver Creek too! It's just really expensive! emoticon And I've only been there once (yeah, I know - how can I live so close and not get there more often!).
In the midwest, the only place I've ever skiied was Hidden Valley in Missouri. And that was basically skiing on ice!

You are very lucky to live so close to wonderful skiing. I live near Chicago, so skiing is definitely not the same here and the season is much shorter. I too have only been skiing a few years, but quickly became very addicted. I went to Co in January this year for my 1st western trip. We stayed at Keystone, but also skied at Vail, Beaver Creek, A Basin, & Breck. My favorite was Beaver Creek. I loved it!! My favorite midwest places are Granite Peak (Wausau, Wi) and Ski Brule (Iron River, Mi in the U.P.). GP for the runs and SB for the people. Temps are starting to cool off (slightly) and I'm starting to get the itch to get back out...I just wish it was as soon as you.

Lucky you (to have skiing so close by).
We are starting to plan a trip for February-still 6 months off, but I will start training for this when school starts in September.

Hello - new to the team, not new to SP. And you can probably tell from my moniker that I live in Colorado. I guess we are lucky enough out here to have skiing from October through April.
So, naturally, I'm getting so pumped for the season. I've even started some of my more difficult leg moves to help getting my muscles in better shape.
I have been skiing a few years (3) and have only recently been comfortable enough to go down some blues. Oh, well... I'm not out to impress anyone - just have a blast! And that's what I do.
I have the "Summit" pass which is ABasin/Keystone/Breck. I mostly ski at Keystone though.
