Jill, thank you for a kind comment on the photo. But I must admit, my daughter took ski lessons for 2 days, then we could enjoy skiing together. I tried to teach her at first, and I felt my teaching was going nowhere, then I realized "that is why they have ski instructors"
We went to Mammoth. You might've heard of the place since you are a SoCal native. I am not familiar with skiing in Ohio. At least you have the snow. Thank you again!

Welcome! It took a lot of weight and a ski accident to make me realize that my lifestyle was hindering my ski ability. The help of SP has been great for my skiing- I do better now than I did before the accident. Good luck on your journey and I hope you get a few runs in this year- our snow is melting quick!

Hi everybody! I am new to the team. After having a 7 year break, last week we spent our vacation on the slopes. It was amazing to see my 6 year old daughter learning to ski. It felt surreal to be on those beautiful slopes again, and to ski next to my daughter. It could only get better if I am more fit as I was 7 years ago. That is why I am here with SparkPeople!
