I've been living in Germany for 25 years now -- can't believe it, but it really is true. My Dad still lives in NJ so I get a chance to visit often.
Well, jealously goes both ways. I'd really love to ski the Rockies someday, and Aspen is at the top of my list!
It's so much fun to see where everybody skies.
Have a great trip!
Wow THINTOK, how long have you lived in Germany? Do you still have family here in Jersey. Skiing in Europe (especially the Alps) is something I've always wanted to do. I haven't done much traveling in Europe (a couple weeks in Ireland and a short trip to London and Belgium), but it something I want to make time for (sooner rather than later).
I had look at joining a ski club trip to Europe a couple years ago, with the economy couldn't justify spending the money. I also wasn't sure that was the best way to do it. I guess I'll have to do more research.
Enjoy your trip to the the Seiser Alm. Again, I'm totally jealous. Would love to hear about your trip when you get back.
I'm totally jealous. I have been skiing in Utah once. Went to several different mountains, but Alta was my favorite by far.
I'm sure you really miss NJ...NOT. I actually moved here from VA after college (too many years ago to count) and except for the ridiculous taxes, I still like it here.
I'm looking forward to Aspen, as it is one place on CO that I've always wanted to ski, but just never seemed to make it. I knew it was expensive, but a little bit more expensive than I expect. Oh well, I'm worth it. I'll post when I get back. Thanks again for your good wishes.
Welcome to the team! I'm also originally from NJ. I lived there until college and now live in Germany, not far from the Austrian border and the Alps .
Have a great trip to Aspen!
On Saturday we'll be going to the Seiser Alm in the Dolomites/Italy for four days of skiing, YAY !
Hello- I was originally from NJ (spent 18 years there) and that is where I learned to ski! (ok, slide on ice ) Now I live in Utah with the best snow on earth. Enjoy your time in Aspen.
If you win 51% of the battles you have won the war.
With all the snow we've had this year, I'm beginning to think I moved out to Denver, but didn't realize it (LOL).
I've been familiar with Spark for a number of years, but fell out of touch. After putting on more pounds than I care to admit, I decided it was time to get back on the wagon.
It's so nice that a web site like this exists. With all the advertising that people are bombarded with about dieting, exercising, etc., it is amazing to me that resources like this are available for free.
Anyway, I decided to join this particular sparkteam because I am planning a short ski trip out west (I plan to start another topic with questions on this) and I thought I might find some interesting discussions here.
Nice to meet everyone!
