Hi everyone, I am new to Sparkpeople and new to the 50+Females group. Thank you to the lovely people who have already made me feel welcome by sending notes. I am a little overwhelmed trying to figure out the site, I am sure with the help of you all I will be navigating around here like a pro in no time. I am looking for a place to connect with others on the journey of weight loss and increasing good health. I would like to post often and be accountable to a group of people for staying on track, and getting encouragement through the process. I look forward to doing that with all of you out there doing the same.
I am 50, a massage therapist and a single mom of a 14 year old son. A couple of years ago I lost nearly 20 pounds on the HCG diet, I have kept about 10 of the pounds off and the other 10 has slowly crept back on. I am looking for a more sensible weight loss approach this time and more community. My starting weight is 180 and my goal is 145ish.
