I just realized that the only team I belong to is the 40 -49 with 20-50 pounds to lose and that I actually no longer belong there because I'm 50 so I went shopping for a new team and here I am. Love the finely aged line. Want to be fit so I look younger than my stated age.

Hi and welcome! I too am not good at social network stuff and tend to read and lurk more than post and comment...but, it does help to get positive feedback from those of us who struggle everyday just like you. Try the meal planner and recipes. I find that planning ahead what I eat works much better than looking in the frig and then making a choice while I am hungry. I always choose with my stomach, not my head! Keep plugging away, 1 day at a time. You will succeed!
I'm not into the social networking thing either - but it does help stay in contact with others - and this is a great site for encouragement. Social networking is not so bad. You just need to be cautious.

I'm doing the Walk off the Pounds dvds with Leslie Sansone and it seems to be working. Makes me feel stronger any ways and it's something I can do indoors.
I am new today also. I have been using SparkPeople since January, but I haven't been posting or making any community connections. I don't feel very comfortable with the whole social networking scene, but I have trouble staying focused during the week days, and I need to get some help sticking with my eating and exercising plan. It seems like a get to the end of the day doing things for everyone but myself. I want to stop making excuses, schedule time for myself and stick to it.
