I think the sum of my life experiences have led me to my current political leanings. I was raised in a military family and lived in several countries growing up. I got to meet, love, and respect people around the world - for who they are, for their differences, and for what I was able to learn from them. I've always been a champion for the "underdog," and like to say that the day I quit caring about other people is the day I wish to cease to exist. I am not religious but keep an open-mind, and try to find compassion for all people, except I have a hard time doing so with people who exude ignorance and hatred. I've never felt like I truly fit in anywhere, but continue marching to the beat of my own drum!
