I also did Weight Watchers for the first 40 pounds that I lost, then hit a plateau for a few years. Spark is good because you can check in any time of any day. Once a week was just not enough to keep me losing. This team appeals to my mind while Spark tools are helping me improve my body.

Hi there! I'm new to SparkPeople as of today. I've lost a lot of weight several times before--most recently over 150 lbs a couple of years ago. At least this time I didn't gain all of it back plus more! I really need to do it for good this time. It's really affecting my health, my career goals, my relationships (or lack thereof), my mobility... even my finances (too much eating out!) I've got a couple of good short-term reasons to start losing it now as well: a 20 year high school reunion (in 2011) and an increase in health insurance if I don't lose enough by summer 2011.
My previous attempts were all with Weight Watchers. I know the program works, but mostly I loved the online community! I just got so tired of hearing the same things over and over at the meetings. I just don't want to do that again. It's fun to do something new and I think I've found a much bigger online community!
