I'm not going to a party this year, but I have to share with you what a co-worker is going to wear. Her husband is going as a wolf (minus a foot). She is going a Sara Palin (she looks alittle like her so she is dying her hair brown and bought her exact glasses) She is going to wear the foot around her neck with a button on her that reads pro-life oh yeah and she also is carrying a gun.

Maybe you could get a stuffed polar bear and cover it in blood and carry a bazooka!!

We are going to a party ... in a group.

I am going as Sarah Palin ... found the flippiest wig today that will be perfect. I am going to wear a hockey jersey and horrifically dark lipstick and make some freaky eyeglasses.

My sister is going as Bristol Palin (as she is pregnant and has long, dark hair anyways).

Her husband is balding so we are going to whiten his hair, get him some fake teeth, a cane and a walker and he is going to be McCain.


My hubby is going as Joe Biden ... he looks good in a suit and his hair is really light blond so it would work.

My brother (who is black) is going as Obama...

...should be interesting

My best friend is going as Sarah Palin as well! Haha. She is going to carry a toy rifle and a stuffed endangered species of some sort. :)

I, myself, try to stay away from politics when i am drinking, so I am going as Jem from the 80's cartoon Jem and the Holograms! So excited!

I guess the costume depends a little on your environment. Since I typically find myself living deep in the heart of conservative country, (initially North Texas, now Northern rural Kentucky) I just dress as the liberal Green that I am. Nice thing about it, though, is I can wear that costume year round, and nobody can tell the difference. Hehe, unnerves the locals to no end. (What?! A liberal tree-hugger?! HERE?!?) Gee, does that make me a sadist? Or a masochist?

I love the Palin idea but I think you're right you might scare the pants off people with that pasted on smile and the *wink wink*. I'm not sure what I'm doing this year - maybe Rosie the Riveter.

My prizewinning costume was the year I dressed as a horse and my friend went as a farmer, carrying a bridle and a carrot.

We dress up at work, but you still have to be able to work in your costume so it can be kind of limiting. I haven't given it a lot of thought yet, guess i should be doing that. I have to admit, the Sarah Palin get-up would be pretty scary. But she's sure given you plenty of material to work with (wink, wink).

I haven't decided for this year yet, but a few years ago I went as a hippie (giving my age away big-time). The right wing born-again I sat next to at the time loaned me her roach clip.
