Hi All! I'm new to the team today. I have been clean eating for a long time but I have gotten really strict about it just this past Feb.1 My main source of bread-like items is very limited these days. I eat brown rice-gluten free wraps. I use them for pizza crust also. My pasta is all brown rice. I will have an occasional whole grain wheat item now and then, but very infrequent. Everything else in my cupboard, is whole foods and I process them myself in my new Vitamix!!!! I have given up all dairy and soy also. No beef, no pork even if it is organic. And no deli items any more. How am I doing?? Do I qualify to be on the team? Have I mentioned that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my new mixer!!!
Hi everyone, Ok so I am SUPER new to this new life style change. It all started a few nights ago when i was browsing on netflixs and watched Hungry for a change. Between that and some other stuff i read about what the goverment is doing to our so called food it was truly disturbing. So I am have a VERY hard time at this switch and can use all the help i can get!!!!!

Hiya! I'm new to this forum and team as well. I too used to use myfitnesspal but found it too drama filled and Facebooky, not as supportive as here, way too much trolling in the forums as well. Nice to meet you! I just became gluten free this week too, and I too just had gluten recently this weekend for the last time with it being my birthday weekend. Now I'm totally committing to my clean eating and making a difference in my digestive health, I've always had IBS issues, but I went dairy free, that helped me 75% and I figure why not get rid of my other foods that cause the last 25% of issues. I also find that my insulin is all over the place (not diabetic, just a carb addict) and that was causing me some emotional eating and feeling bingey, when I wasn't really stressed or hungry. Now I'm doing lower/moderate carbs and no refined carbs in hopes it'll help.

I've been using this site for years when I've needed assistance staying on track, but I have never really utilized the social network, and I'd like to give that a try. I am also on myfitnesspal (same name) but I still prefer this site.
I'm Tara. I recently became gluten-free, and it's made a world of difference in how I feel. I'm currently recovering from a gluten filled weekend, and had to take the day off work because I felt so sick... not worth it. However before that I had a very successful month of gluten free eating.
I'm focusing mainly on nutrition, and clean eating (limiting processed foods). I am hoping to start the 30 Day Shred in the next few weeks, and I am just starting to learn more about yoga.
Anyway, I would love to have some buds to help me keep on track (and vice versa) so feel free to add me!
