There are the liquid drops, which come in different flavors. Then there are variations of the granules... kinda like sugar but not sugar. LOL.
For instance there is Truvia. And others that go by other names other than Stevia. Just read to make sure it is Stevia you are getting. I use something called
"Stevia in the Raw". That is its exact name.
It comes in bulk like sugar does and it also comes in packets like sugar does too. I like the packets and take them with me to restaurants. I also use it in water with a little lemon juice.
So there you have it.

Are there different types of stevia because when I used it in my coffee it was awful? I literal wretched and threw the coffee out.

Glad to see the comment about using whey for protein and the suggestion that protein can be found in a lot more sources than just meat.
And to the post immediately before mine..I use Stevia as well. In my coffee or in my iced tea. I even replaced my pop with a glass of water with a squirt of lemon and half a packet of Stevia. And use it in my recipes too!

Not to b a total pain in the azz, but cut it out totally...replace it with stevia (which is a natural sweetener)...in two weeks, u won't even miss the refined cane sugar...and have no cravings...if you keep using even the little bit in your coffee, you're gonna have cravings...and it will b that much harder for u...processed sugars aren't clean anyway...

Yeah I have heard that before too. This week I have stopped eating snack foods, cookies candy, cake and chips. Gonna be a while until I can cut out sugar in my coffee.

Thank you all for the great information. I will incorporate your suggestions into my diet. Bison ... hmm interesting... 6.5 oz of meat a day goes fast.

beans are a great source of protein. Greens like collads, spinach, kale, broccoli, and more have protein ( all fruits and veggies have some protein) Grains also have protein, quonia has the most protein. And all are very low in fat.

Nuts have protein but high in fat so I only eat one once and day.

Only animal products have cholesterol so you may also want to try looking for protein sources that are not animal based.

Hey There...u may want to include the following in your menu...

Bison (always grass fed, by fed law)...4 oz has 4 grams sat fat and 21 grams protein
Organic beef sirloin...3 oz has 2 grams sat fat, 23 grams protein
Wild fish and shellfish...lowest in fat, high in GOOD cholesterol, biggest protein bang for the buck, especially mollusks...so if you love oysters, get to shuckin'...
Jay Robb Organic Whey protein powder...0 sat fat, 25 grams protein

Hope this helps! Best to you on your Spark journey!

She said cholesterol is directly related to meats. The goal is to lower my cholesterol to normal range. My cholesterol is 256, LDL 176, HDL 60. My trainer had me eating 12 to 16 oz of bone less skinless chicken breast a day.

Some of the recipes I looked at didn't have saturated fat and that is what she wants me to track.

I am looking forward to any assistance I can get!

Aloha and welcome! I am not sure what your dietician wants you to do - drop down to 6.5 oz of protein a day? Is that where you are having trouble? There are lots of great recipes here on SP and specifically on this team there is a good list of recipes for you to investigate.

Here is my story 46 years old, 50 lbs overweight, 256 cholesterol, 176 LDL, 60 HDL, 103 glucose.

My workouts are 4 times a week: 20 minute run, 40 minutes lift heavy weights to challenge myself. Saturday P90X kempo - ka pow (over board) I can never tell.

What brought me here was looking for some recipe ideas to help me keep on track. My dietitian wants me to drop for 6 to 8 oz of meat a day to 6 1/5 a day!

1 egg in the morning and 3 oz of chicken at lunch I am already at 5 oz!
